Summary: How Corny Is This Book?
Review: I believe in a lot of the topics in the book and Julie Soskin did a nice job introducing every topic there is. It is nicely layed out, but VERY brief and corny. For example, one of the eight questions for Rating your pet's ESP is Does your dog howl or hide during a seance or other psychic happening? I was excited to go through this book, but ended up extremely disappointed. The worst part is I lost the receipt and can't take it back!

Summary: A great introduction to psychic phenomena for common folks.
Review: I'm a Christian person who is curious about psychic phenomena. With no previous knowledge of psychic phenomena, this text was an excellent guide. It introduced western concepts like guardian angels, as well as concepts with which I was totally unfamiliar, like aboriginal ideas such as shamanism and eastern notions like chakras.

These topics are just a drop in the bucket. The book doesn't go into a lot of details about the many aspects of psychic phenomena it introduces, but it lets a novice know what's out there, so you can explore the areas that interst you, with further reading. It is well written, in easy-to-read language.

Since I've read this book, when someone talks to me about psychic phenomena from a religion or philosophy that I'm not very familiar with, I now have some conception of what they're talking about.

Summary: A nice introduction to many different areas
Review: It's a very nice book, with beautiful illistrations. It is a great way to jump into many different areas of psychic phenomena. It includes several different quizes to help you figure out in what areas you have inate talents. I enjoyed reading it. However, it is not a book that you will often pick up once you've read it. What it provides is a great introduction to different areas. What it does not provide is any depth into the different areas. That being said it is still worth the price.

Summary: Nice but really for beginners
Review: Sure it is a beautiful book, but it really is for beginners.

Summary: One word: Wow.
Review: This has got to be one of my favourite books, ever. I have it set down next to me (opened to "Travel to Other Worlds in Your Dreams", page 72), and despite having read through it several times, I still find myself coming back.

I haven't yet been able to try all of the things (such as astral travel, which is why I'm reading it again now), but what I have tried worked well.

Julie Soskin's techniques for aura helped me greatly, and I'd suggest it for people who have been having trouble reading them. Her method of charging a pendulum worked much better than others I'd used before, and she let me in on some things even I didn't know about tarot cards.

I have a few complaints - the dream dictionary could have been a bit longer, and some of her techniques needa little more detail, however, it's not enough to take away from the value of the book. It is for beginners, which isn't a bad thing, and it doesn't harm the quality of the book. However, even people well versed in such things should take a look, if only for fresh perspective. You never know everything, afterall.

Another thing worth noting, is that this book is simply beautiful. Every page is gorgeous! I got this book for free, but I'd be glad to pay whatever price they asked for this.

Summary: Fun!
Review: This is a very interesting book. Even for the skeptics (like myself). You can be sure that anyone who walks in your home will see it and think, "'How Psychic Are You'? Why would anyone read about psychics?" When they walk out: "So cool! I want to get this!" (Well, something like that.)
ANYWAY... Julie Soskin really got it with this book. A page turner from the front to the back cover! You'll be hooked!

Summary: Nice but really for beginners
Review: This is one of those books that is actually as much fun to read as it is informative. I intentionally keep this book on my coffee table, for when friends or guests comes over, because they always get a kick at answering some of the questions and seeing how psychic they are. There are a few, "Check the Box" and see your answer, which are really interesting and everyone from my mom to my daughters enjoyed seeing how psychic they are.

The book also has beautiful bright pictures that impressive the eyes, and sections on Palmistry, Tea Leaf Reading, the Aura, Mind Over Matter, Mind Reading, The Chakras, Dreams, Tarot, Crystal Balls, Pendulums, Healing with the Hands, and the list goes on.

This book is on of my favorites, because it really sets the mood for a good time when friends or family come over. The Tests really are impressive, and fun, and every one who has been to my home, has fiddled through the book and taken the tests, even my skeptic brother answered the questions, and found out he was a "Closet" Shaman. Which of course awakened his curiosity. This really is a fun book, and a good intro to many Psychic and Occult mediums.
