Rating: Summary: Not for someone interested in learning about the Fae Review: I'm not going to say that this book was horrible, or give it a 1 star review, because it wasn't that bad. It just wasn't what I was looking for, or expecting. When I purchased it, the reviews were all positive, all saying how it helped people see sprites and faeries and all. Well, that is NOT what the book is for, and I'm here to warn you. The book is about this authors experiences with faeries, her divorce and her re-marriage, all with the help of faeries and angels. I wanted the book to learn about how to see faeries, and what kinds there were. The book also confused you, by only showing faeries as dragonfly type creatures, then mentioning leprochauns and other faeries near the end of the book without any explanation as to why they have changed appearences and all. There was one teeny section of the book telling you how to see faeries -- I actually searched frantically through the book, thinking I may have missed a section where they better describe how to see the fae. The one section said something like "Stare at a vibrant plant. Look beyong it's image, into it's innerself. Ask the faeries with your mind to let you see them. This wont happen instantly, you need to gain their trust." She didn't even really cue you as to saying she was teaching you how to see them, she just sort of put it there, saying she taught that at a workshop (sheesh, if you were paying for this book she could at least tell you the what else happend at the workshop!) If you were looking for a nice uplifting book to make the day seem a little brighter and the world seem a little more in order, this book is for you. If you are looking for a book on how to see faeries, what to expect, and what are the various types of faeries, this book is definetly not for you. P.S. For the person who said this book was based on animal rights and veganism, I would agree there were a couple almost subliminal messages within the book promoting veganism, but hey, whats wrong with veganism? Someone needs to speak up for these poor mistreated animals anyway!
Rating: Summary: Not what I thought Review: When I bought this book I htought it would tell me ways to use the Fairie Oracle cards, but it didn't. It was a book about how the fairies affected her life. A nice book but not my type of read.
