Summary: Seek and You Shall Find God's Love
Review: Finding God's Love is a crucial how-to book for seekers who choose to be finders of God's love. One could almost guarantee that those who follow the advice and instructions in this book will attain the prize worth more than gold. Many of us want a profound relationship with Deity, yet seeing God remains elusive after all of our study, prayer and striving. Ethan Walker tells us that subduing the ego is the critical prerequisite to attaining the goal, then he shows us exactly how to do it. He shows us how to reignite love and devotion, which consume the ego. He doesn't kid us that this attainment will be effortless, but he does say that devotion is easy, as anyone with a heart can love. For his blueprint, Walker relies on the teachings of Ammachi, the living saint from India, who travels the globe embracing all who come to her. Ammachi's advice in Finding God's Love is clear, deep, satisfying, and applicable to persons of all faiths. Westerners will be intrigued by her wit and understanding of our peculiarities. Walker intersperses a bit of his etherial poetry througout the book, including one favorite line, "I deeply regret that my hugging arms are so few and so short." Particularly useful is Walker's index of the many topics covered in Finding God's Love, as this book is sure to be treasured and kept nearby for ready reference.
