Rating: Summary: Written for women, what about us guys? Review: As a male, I was really disappointed with the authors attitude towards men. This book is written for women. There are chapters entitled "how to tell if he is a couch potato," and one on male chauvinism. Unfortunately for male readers who want to use astrology there are no corresponding chapters such as "How to tell if she is a critical shrew" or something like that.I think the title should indicate that this is a guide for women. The astrological profiles are mostly of males for the female readers. As for the astrological accuracy of the book, I have no criticism of that, as I don't have the background to judge it.
Rating: Summary: Don't bother Review: From a male/air sign perspective, let's just save some time and cut to the recurring themes:
Male = Air sign/Fire sign = selfish = Bad
Female = Water sign/Earth sign = caring = Good (Except too much = weak)
Thinking = Bad
Feelings = Good
Mixing the terms Venusian and Martian when talking about the zodiac and male/female is confusing though. Venus rules both Libra (masculine) and Taurus (feminine).
Rating: Summary: MY GUIDELINE IN DATING Review: I am a Pisces with Mercury in Pisces, and I have been confused in my past relationships. After reading Love and War Between the Signs, my confusion ended regarding the wrong type of man. I had been dating Capricorns, Taurus and a few Libras. I always felt like I was talking to a wall with any kind of communication regarding emotions. Everything Amy Keehn said regarding the "THINKER-FEELER" clash, has made such an incredible impact on me, as I realized those men I had dated clashed with me,they were thinking sun signs. They would think out their every emotion, it seemed like feeling was not in their emotional vocabulary. Now I date feelers whick includes, Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Leo and Aries. It is so refreshing to date men who have the capability to develop my type of emotional intimacy and who really listen to me and my feelings, they are emotionally graceful. I know that if you are a water or fire sign, you will really love this amazing guide to dating, because it helps us to better understand and appreciate our own emotional nature, and see that there are men out there who will also appreciate us.
Rating: Summary: Amazingly Accurate Review: WOW!! Is the first word that came to mind as I read through Amy's book. I am a true Aires (with Venus and Mercury also in Aires). After reading Amy's book, Love and War Between the Signs, I can now truly understand why I have found certain men to be incompatible with my line of "feeling". I was beginning to think that there was nobody out there who could understand a direct, honest, straight-forward lady, like myself without being intimidated. Now I realize that I have to be more "selective" in the men I choose as potential partners. Amy's theories around the "Thinker-Feeler" aspects have CLEARLY allowed me to understand other signs. But more specifically, even my own sign and my "feeling" process. Her book has had a tremendous impact on me in helping me understand compatability with other signs, and ultimately, the opposite sex. I "can" find the emotional intimacy and satisfaction I strive for with someone of equal FEELING fire. Any sign who reads this book (either a "Feeler" or "Thinker") can find endless understanding and clarification to our basic needs of dating and intimacy. An OUSTANDING job Amy - 10+!!!
