Rating: Summary: I love this book! Review: A book of simple ways to add magick to different areas of your life. Also good for the modern witch with ideas about how to scry into your TV screen, and use everyday appliances to bring magick into your life. An excellent book!
Rating: Summary: HUH? There's no "Bewitched" in here - just BEWITCHING! Review: Did you read the same book I did? It's WONDERFUL! The humor keeps everything in balance, and there's nothing hocus pocus here -- just some fresh, fun spells that use everyday items (no eye of newt, and no political wiccan broo-ha-ha).
Rating: Summary: Shiny, happy, plastic. Review: I flipped through this one at a bookstore, since I recognized the author's name....I nearly chucked it across the room. If I'd paid for it, I probably would have. You know, there's a difference between having a sense of humor about the Craft and being a silly ditz. This book lands firmly in the "silly ditz" catgegory. Another reviewer mentioned nose-wiggling, and yes it's in there. So's a lot of stuff which made me shake my head. Scrying through the TV? Why? Is running a bowl of water not stylish enough in this swingin' modern era? Like I said, a sense of humor is vital equipment for any willworker. But I feel as though Ms. Telesco is taking advantage of my openmindedness and good humor to pull some darned silly pop-culture tricks on me. No senor, no me gusta.
Rating: Summary: It works Review: I like the spells, but they are not in great detail, and a lot of them have names that you have to guess how to pronounce.
Rating: Summary: I don't really know. Review: I liked this book. It has simple, easy spells for everyday troubles. And they work. I'd recommend this book only for one spell in it: "Finding a parking space". It has worked every time I've casted from my driver's seat. Maybe it's not a book of high Wiccan principles, guiding you to connect with the Universe and reach a higher state. This is a book for the every day issues you need to overcome to keep your mind at ease. A book for the everyday Pagan and the kitchen witch who seek simple ways to overcome simple, yet tantalising, problems. I thought it was well worth its money.
Rating: Summary: Great spell book for the fun of it. Review: Merry Meet,This is a great spell book for those not looking for a ritualistic wiccan spell. I highly recomend it for those just looking for fun and easy spells. It is perfect for young girls and novice. However I would like to stress all spells depend on the faith and focus of the caster to work. Never cast a spell that would interfere with ones free will. Do As You Will Harm None. Blessed Be, Venus
Rating: Summary: Poor weaken dull dry info Review: This book Goddess in my pocket was horrible I looked in the book a number of times in a book store before I bought I thought hey may be theer is something good that might be in this book I was so completey wrong ang and did not even know that this book was such a waste of money I don't know what to do with the book now this book is so wrong and embarrassment to all wiccans who bought this book and that are in the same position like me
Rating: Summary: Great Gift! Review: This book is a great little quick reference guide. While I am not an experianced "witch" I am interested in magic and believe it works. This book would be a great gift for someone who is interested in magic but doesn't know where to start. The simple spells are user-friendly and fun. Plus, because the author uses everyday things in her spells, you don't have to run all over trying to find unusual ingredients!
Rating: Summary: A little book with a big heart! Review: This is one of those great little books that seem to "find" you at the right time, it did me, anyway! For such a small book it packs a lot of useful ideas, mini-spells, inspiration and general ways to carry magic (although I prefer 'magick') and the Goddess in your heart and soul with you wherever you go and whatever you do, simply. Sometimes it's hard to incorporate a little magick into our everyday lives, and for me, working in the corporate world, I end up leaving my spirituality at the door between 8 and 5. This little gem gives ideas and ways to avoid doing just that, but simply and discreetly (if you don't burn rosemary incense at work as suggested, unless your work at home, that is!) This book starts with a chapter called "Carrying the Magic" and ends with "Magic in Your Pocket" with sections relating to everyday life in between, such as the home, office, relationships, traveling, etc. I flipped open the book right to the "Magic in the Office" section and was sold right there. Of course, not all of these "mini-spells" and suggestions can be useable for everyone, depending on your own individual needs or situation, but use what you want and as with all magic(k), it is a very personal and individual choice; do what feels right for you. I plan on buying many more of these books to give as gifts to friends and family who need or want a little bit of magic(k) in their lives! Blessed Be.
