The author though referring to other Horary texts makes the subject his own, using many personal examples. This is not nebulous or theoretical information, though theory is not neglected. If you want practical instruction in Horary, this is the best there is.

Review: For years I have struggled to learn horary astrology -- until I came across this book, that is. The author makes it seem so easy! The writing is clear, easy to read, and extremely well-organized. The book takes you step by step through the process of interpreting a horary chart so that you understand everything along the way. There are lots of historical notes that put things in perspective and there is lots of humor too. This is one of the best astrology books I have ever read. Thank you, Anthony Louis, for this wonderful book.

Review: Horary is one of the more difficult branches of astrology. In this book, the author takes the pain out of horary. He presents the subject clearly and logically so it all comes together and makes sense. If you've been afraid to tackle horary, fear no more. This book is a delight: easy to read, thorough, relatively painless, and sprinkled through with a good measure of humor.

Review: I bought this book because the title states "Plain and Simple" but unfortunately, for me it wasn't all that plain and simple. I don't know much about astrology and perhaps with some background, I may have felt otherwise, but to me it just jumped right into interpretations without explanation of the calculations. I would say this book is not for the novice.

Summary: The Most Interesting and Consise Book on Horary Out There
Review: Mr. Louis has written the most fascinating book I have read this year (and I'm an Amazon frequent buyer!) A passing familiarization with Astrology would certainly be helpful, because once you open this book, there's no turning back; you are going to be hooked for life. Mr. Louis has an engaging style and great sense of humor that will make this a hard book to put down; unless you are casting charts for every possible question you can think of. His sample charts are interesting, the writing is personal and friendly, and his comfort with and knowledge of the subject of Horary is bar none. I was motivated to study the subject further, and thanks to Mr. Louis, Astrology will never be "Dry" again!

Questions that I had as I was reading were all answered in simple to understand language, with some great charts. There is also a little bit of humor, and the author is intelligent, but down to earth. I was very glad I purchased this book. Keep on doing your great work Anthony Louis, and Thank You.

Summary: Far From Simple
Review: This is not a book for a novice. Mr. Louis has a niche for writing technical jargon in a non-complex manner, but without having the basics down, the reader will most likely feel like a fish out of water. Horary astrology is much more complex and I feel forced to argue the title of "plain and simple" as I did not find anything simple at all about horary astrology. I must admit though, that Mr. Louis made it seem less like a whole new learning practise and more like the extension of astrology that it should be.
