Rating: Summary: The Jewish Trinity and Sourcebook are Rosetta Stones to OT Review: "The Jewish Trinity" and "The Jewish Trinity Sourcebook" are not just books. They are epoch-making works of genius. Gravity was always there, but it took a Newton to discover it. Lightning was always electrical. It took a Franklin to recognize it, and a Steinmetz to tame it, and an Edison to light up our lives with it.The fact is now indisputable that the Jews in Jesus' day believed in the Triune God. The proof was always there in the Bible. Many theologians even suspected it. But it took Yoel Natan to dig it out and prove it beyond dispute. These two volumes are not just tomes that will collect dust. These are going to be textbooks in a thousand seminaries that are interested in evangelism among the Jews, the Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses and even Muslims. The volumes are priceless and indispensable. The world has been waiting for these volumes for two thousand years and didn't know it--just as the world waited for electric light and didn't know it. Yoel Natan has brought to light the fact that our Hebrew forebears understood and worshipped the Holy Trinity as clearly as the writers of the Apostles' Creed and almost as clearly as the authors of the Nicene. The Jewish Trinity and The Jewish Trinity Sourcebook are the Rosetta Stone to the Old Testament. All the evidence has been there staring us in the face for two millennia. Perhaps it is because this information is so desperately needed in our times that it has taken until now to search it out. Roswell T. Bonovitz, Professor Emeritus, Biblical Languages
Rating: Summary: I ALONE AM GOD says OT...so where was TRINITY revealed?? Review: I "ALONE" AM God says the OT...so where was TRINITY revealed?? I've long been questioning the origin of many of the foundational beliefs of my Christian faith and so strongly desire a much better understanding of Judaism as I know that is where the answers exist. This book seems to be exactly what I'd been seeking. I LOVE the detail and actually, because it *is* so detailed, I find myself looking up passage after passage. While this will be time consuming to complete, I'm positive it will be very rewarding and help tremendously in deepening my love and roots in the Christian faith. What a privilege it is to have something like this to turn to when I feel my faith is being questioned - by myself or others. It is a place where I can get sound, well researched answers, all scripturally based. This is such a comfort that I know it must be divinely inspired! I can almost feel the hand of God on my shoulder guiding me as I explore each passage of His Love Letter to us (the Holy Scriptures) thereby confirming the truth that this book reveals. This surely bears fruit and as I've described, from my experience, the Comforter's touch is undeniable!
Rating: Summary: Natan's book clearly points out Christ in the Old Testament Review: I just read "The Jewish Trinity" by Yoel Natan and think it's very exciting. It reminds me of John 5:39b "These are the Scriptures that testify about me." The whole Old Testament is about Jesus, and Natan brings this out so clearly in his books. His book shows that the references to Christ in the Old Testament are legion. He points out that it is no surprise that the apostles in Jesus' day were so willing to accept Jesus as the Son of God. They were used to thinking about plural persons from reading their Scriptures. Yoel Natan shows that the Greek and Hebrew words used in the Old Testament Scriptures at Jesus' time clearly testify about the Father, Son and Spirit--three persons, one God. Be sure to visit Yoel Natan's website. It gives more information on his books: The Jewish Trinity, The Jewish Trinity Sourcebook, and Moon-o-theism.
Rating: Summary: A very thought provoking read Review: I was not sure what to expect when I sat down to read this book, but I was blown away with what I read. The insights on Adonai, El Shaddai, Elohim, and Yahveh, as demonstrated thoughout the book, should open the eyes of anyone who believes in the trinity. Would I recommend this book to others? Absolutely!
Rating: Summary: Jewish Trinity Reveals Vast Old Testament Trinity Proofs Review: The Jewish Trinity is a must-have book for doing serious research into the origin of the concept of the Trinity - that there is one God yet three equal persons of God. Yoel shows overwhelming and convincing evidence from the books of the Bible that not only Christians believed in a Trinitarian God, but the ancient Hebrews did as well. Yoel starts the book with what is perhaps the best evidence for a "Jewish" Trinity. For example, the author shows how the plural forms of God, such as the Hebrew words "Elohim" and "haElohim" are used literally thousands of times in the ancient texts of the Jews. Readers of the Bible or the Torah using the most common modern translations and having no background in Hebrew or Greek will find Natan's book eye-openning and thought provoking. The book is not a fast read, as it contains much information and proofs, so do not expect to read this one in one day! Overall, this was a good book!
Rating: Summary: New Trinitarian proofs from ancient sources Review: What the Christian community has needed for a very long time is Scriptural evidence that modern Christianity did not evolve from ancient Judaism. In this book are more than enough proofs that the concept of the Trinity was evident in the Hebrew and Greek texts from the beginning of the Scripture throughout its entirety.
Rating: Summary: Natan's Book Is a Real Eye-Opener! Review: Yoel Natan's "The Jewish Trinity" provides a seamless and convincing argument that the Christian faith in the Trinity and the deity of Christ goes back well beyond Jesus' earthly time to the creation and the Book of Genesis. A must-read for anyone interested in matters of faith.
