Rating: Summary: Riveting! Recommended! Review: A glimpse by possibly the world's most educated 'exorcist' on demons and deliverance. Some case studies that although true read almost like something from a horror fiction novel. There are many christian ministers in the world today from all denominations who deal with demons the way Bob Larson does, but few of them in my opinion have the deep incite, revelation knowledge and sheer wealth of experience he has, he definetly GETS results! no question about it. His teaching on recognising the difference between MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder) and demons although not exhaustive (no one really knows all the answers on this subject!) is truly fascinating and definetly plausible considering many christians have been 'falsely' diagnosed as being demon possessed and suffered deep spiritual harm through it. After reading several books and witnessing exorcism's abroad, this man is right on the money! Despite his high pitched voice and at times his very frank forthrightness in delivering the Word of God on his radio show and TV appearances he is a very humble family man who has totally sold out his life to fulfilling Christ's call to preach 'deliverance to the captives' I have been personally present at a Bob Larson workshop and it was the most amazing demonstration of the supernatural power of God over the forces of darkness that I have ever witnessed. After reading this book and indeed if you are ever privelidged enough to go to one of his workshops you will NEVER EVER doubt that there is a Devil, and that the Bible truly is God's infallible Word
Rating: Summary: Bob Larson: Grand Inquisitor Review: Bob Larson yet again capitalizes on the medieval mentalities of his loyal flock. As long as his readers continue to believe in mythological boogeymen, he will continue to holyroll all the way to the bank. Excuse me while i go listen to 80's hair bands and sacrifice my gerbil...Mandelyn
Rating: Summary: Spiritual warfare? PLEASE! Review: I am amazed at the extent that Christians will go to malign that which they do not understand. This book is firmly grounded in fantasy. This is possibly the greatest book of fable, rumor, and lie that has every been collected about the Occult. If this is the best that Christianity has to offer, you won't even KNOW who it is your are supposed to be fighting until they have enslaved you. I was especially amused about the information provided about Satanism. Mr. Larson apparently never researched past his local church. Ave Satanas
Rating: Summary: Hear the sounds of "The second coming". Review: I have read this book and many others that have been written on this very subject. One thing for sure, if we as Christians do not start realizing that Satin lives amoung our young and old alike, this earth can and will get worse. I give thanks to Bob Larson for opening up my eyes to see that, not even the Lord's children are exempt from evil.
Rating: Summary: Lotta claims, no proof Review: I understand that to the "spiritual warfare" type of Christian, a book like this with all the STORIES of supposed demon posesssion/exorcism claims Larson allegedly was involved in, is credible to them and encourages them in their view of demons around us. Notice what word I capitalized. Larson makes a lot of CLAIMS that cannot be independently proven. The stories of his cases of demon posession and exorcism sound a lot like fiction and not reality. I listened in to BL's talk show when he did the live exorcisms by phone routine and once I even called hom criticizing why these allged demons did not hang up the phone, In this book BL makes some lame claim that yes demons on his show HAVE hung up the phone. In my experience of listening in, I NEVER heard one of these allleged demon posessed callers hang up the phone. Funny tho how these demons also did not violate FCC rules. He once again attacked some Wiccans in this book, and for all his claims of personal experience with supposedly supernatural forces, I find it interesting considering what Larson is in real life that these alleged demons have not spoken oout about his sins. Funny also that there have been no atheists who have shown demons in them, or of people who were not brought up in the demons around us imagery. ALl I can say to any reader, beleiver in "spiritual warfare" or not is this: Question the source of these claims. It's too easy for beleivers to be conned by people like Larson and " Dr. Rebecca Brown". Check out their credibility. In both Brown and Larson cases there are more than enough evidences to show that both people have lied. I have serious doubts that ANy of theise stories Larson said actually happened. They sound ficticious and made up. Larson's own actions hardly make him a credible source.

Rating: Summary: I wish I could give this book negative stars Review: If you are going to engage the enemy, you better have the knowledge and the weapons. This is Bob's best and most complete work for those who, willingly or not, are to engage the cohorts of the devil. Bob's experiences and his categorization of knowledge and weapontry with respect to spiritual warfare are invaluable.
Rating: Summary: It may save your life... Review: The author's unprecedented scholarship came to fruition in this magnum opus, covering all the available knowledge from "alcohol"and "Belzebub" to Zoroaster.Virtually a non-stop page turner, this encyclopedia of knowledge will instill piety in the unaware readers, finally opening their eyes to the myriad of dangers(and demons,of course)lurking behind...anything.The merits of this compendium lie in its unwavering commitment to our general redemption and a final purging of world culture of anything that contradicts the author's Weltanschauung;it becomes evident early in the book that from the Reformation on the world has entered a period of struggle with an influx of satanic infestation now pervading every aspect of our culture, from the noetic levels to the lower,Freudian realms of the libido. If in the early middle ages the British Isles, namely Ireland and its monks became the last bastion and haven of classical culture, this herculean task has now been undertaken by the author with spectacular and life saving results;it is not an exaggeration to call this book a new "Critique of Pure Reason" that far surpasses Kant's initial and shabby attempts.ARS LONGA VITA BREVIS.
Rating: Summary: Ridiculous drivel. Review: When I read only two paragraphs of this book, I thought Larson was joking. Reading further, I believed he was a raving lunatic. Forcing myself to finish the book, I realized that he was nothing but "the greatest charlatan fake spiritual sideshow freak in today's church", as another reviewer so eloquently put it. I'm in shock that supposedly intelligent people are believing this man's book. It is complete and utter fiction/delusion. Not only that, but it is poor fiction, transparently and badly written, a fantasy world where the normal actions of young people are always influenced by demons, where the superstitions and traditions of all non-Christian religions and cultures are invariably either false or Satanic in origin, while Christian superstitions and traditions are always true and divinely inspired. Larson derides these other beliefs by saying that they go against science, then claims that the only way to cure them is to perform an exorcism. In this fantasy world, the mere utterance of the word 'Jesus' is enough to transform supposedly evil people into the most devout of Christians. No reasonable, lucid person could possibly allow such obvious lies to influence them. The content of "Larson's Book of Spiritual Warfare" is as unimaginative as its title. Larson's 'demons' are absurdly stupid in their actions and their names. Demons such as "Blasphemy", "Disobedience", and "Monica" claim responsibility for the musical "Jesus Christ Superstar", horror movies, and the game Dungeons & Dragons. At one point, Larson claimed to exorcise the imaginatively named demon "Pride" from a young man whose prize possession was his car. In order to excise the purported demon, Larson forced the young man to donate his car to the church so it could be sold and the (untaxable) money used to pervade other cultures with Larson's ramblings. All in all, I'm disappointed that 1 star is the lowest rating possible. This is the kind of social parasite who must have had a field day using the horrors of the Columbine incident to further his own rantings. Larson is far more dangerous than the fictional demons he manages to convince others of.
