Review: The editors have selected a small number of gems from among the many hanhagot--Hasidic spiritual instructions or practices--which are wonderful inspirations for dealing with everyday life. These is not a book of mysticism, or abstract spirituality. These short pieces (none of them more than a very short page in length) help us in dealing with real world situations. The selection and translation have clearly been done with the contemporary Western reader in mind. The addition of some hanhagot from two modern thinkers--Hillel Zeitlin and Art Green--is the crowning touch.
A wonderful little book for those of us looking for guidance from Jewish tradition in dealing with the vicissitudes of daily life.
