Rating: Summary: Precious Review: I am very glad I discovered this book and have read it.I tend to be a very thoughtful, intermittent reader, so it has taken me quite a long time (perhaps a year or more) to read through all of it, but each reading, whether a little or a lot, was always fruitful. Certain parts of Holy Scripture are clarified, and G. H. Pember (the author) also gives perspective to past evils, present evils, and future evils, highlighting truth and exposing deception, that the blurry-eyed might focus, and the focused shine their armour and sharpen their spiritual sword. If you were given the choice between a thousand bars of solid gold and this book, you would be wise to choose the book.
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: I highly recommend this book for the serious Bible student. Be prepared to read slowly and carefully, as this book was written in the 19th century. The grammar and word usage reflects that era, and to me made it a little difficult to read. The subject matter, though, is well thought out and presented. You need this one for your library!

Rating: Summary: Unmitigated tripe Review: I see that other reviewers have called this book 'scholarly'. In fact this is a spectacular demonstration of the human ability to find any belief, no matter how nutty, justified by Biblical texts. Nothing Pember says is backed up by any significant research beyond what is said in the Bible. Since other Biblical scholars have come to remarkably different conclusions, then the only reason for favouring his view is ithat he reinforces some people's existing prejudices. The End Is Nigh, apparently. But Pember wrote this book well over 100 years ago - how Nigh is that?
Rating: Summary: Tremendous Depth and Insight! Review: It is so refreshing to see such a careful student of the Bible, learning from the Word instead of projecting his thoughts onto it. What a shame that books like this give way in Christian bookstores to sugar-coated teachings and even fictional stories. Be prepared to abandon the traditional Christian understanding about the Earth's origin. And don't accept the "gap theory" label, which is commonly used to dismiss the teachings in this book even before one has a chance to consider the points.
Rating: Summary: An amazing book Review: Pember displays in detail the invaluable insight into God's Word contained in the original text. He delves to the roots of the Word to discover what the meaning is, and the problems associated with our English translations. He references Mystery Babylon the Great often. That book is another I would highly recommend for its insight and scholarship.

Rating: Summary: G.H. Pember has alot of discernment! Review: This book has a wealth of information about subjects that are not completely descriptive in the Bible, yet he paints a very rational and thought provoking picture of them. The pre-Adamic earth and the pre-deluge earth scenarios are incredible! A must read. This is just one of the many books that Pember "rightly divides the word of truth" in! I recommend all of his books, as well as those of his fellow scholars...D.M. Panton, Robert Govett, R.E. Neighbour, etc. These men of God knew how to teach the truth of the coming kingdom of God. Get them all!
Rating: Summary: Outstanding and Unique Review: This book is an absolute MUST for all serious students of God's Word. After reading this book, you will have an easier time understanding just how perfectly the bible and the events of the our day fit and why. This is definitely one of those "once in a lifetime" type of books, in that, it would be difficult for any other to measure up to it's scholarly, yet easily understood, subject matter. I don't have the words to give this book the accolades which it deserves.
Rating: Summary: An excellent guidebook revealing the new age for what it is. Review: Written in the late nineteenth century, Earth's Earliest Ages makes a connection, using biblical passages as support, between the true beginning of the world, current events at the time and future changes and deceptions involving the 'fallen angels.' GH Pember also interprets in detail, passages in the bible that point to a much different world than is currently thought of. A world that is currently controlled by 'fallen angles' and is secretly being influenced by pagan ideas and symbols. Later in the book we are also exposed to the nature of the deception as well as Jesus's triumphant return in the coming years.
