Summary: Terrifying and Terrific!
Review: I was scanning the library shelves here in Manhattan for something to read for a wintry weekend. Wow! This book scared the hell out of me. For some of the detractors I've read here, were you reading the same book? What chilled me is that Larry Warren is such a down-to-earth guy. He could have sought fame and fortune some other way than baring his experiences here. And for doing so, he has fought a war against the military, the powerful federal agents who hide the secrets and hypocritical politicians and vicious old military officials. That something really did happen at Bentwaters-Woodbridge is no longer in question. Even some of Larry's enemies admit something incredible happened at the base. This has been documented in numerous documentaries and articles. I hope Larry and his terrific co-author, Peter Robbins, write a sequel and go more into detail about the nightmarish world beneath the military site. Larry has definitely showed enough guts and bravery to receive an award of some kind. I hereby create the UFO Hero of the Year Award to be presented to Larry Warren!

Summary: A school mate's read
Review: Larry and I went to school together. We were close in Junior high, but drifted apart when he went into the military. He had mentioned the Bentwaters thing, but never went into too much detail. I knew a lot of guys who went in the military relatively sane and came out messed up. After reading his book, I was left with a fascinating insight as to what he went through these past years. Regardless of how you feel about UFO's or the government, you should read this book. Have patience, read the whole thing. Then try to figure out why the rest of us just sit around and let things like this happen while a certain very few contend with all the whacko's out there to attempt to open the public's eyes. Sorry Larry, the rest of the world prefers to stay sleeping.

Summary: Alice In Wonderland
Review: Rendlesham Forest is an ongoing investigation into the strange events at an RAF base, leased to the USAF in the early eighties.
It is a subject dear to my heart and this account does nothing to endear me to it. I found this book to be riddled with fantasy, and can only serve to make a mockery of a serious subject. I mean, the author has us believe that he conversed with animals, albeit telepathicaly during one of these events, not to mention an underground Alien base, which incidentally must have been flitted back to the USA after the Americans left for home and the bases closed. C'mon, are we really to take the subject of UFO's and ET's seriously after reading accounts like this. A good read if you like fairy tales, but hardly a believable account, unless you're extremely gullible.
Save your money or buy a serious investigative account of Rendlesham such as, You Can't Tell The People, by Georgina Bruni, and incidentally you may learn something about Larry in this account of events.

Summary: Point of View
Review: This incident did happen. This area where it did happen is notoriousfor spooky things. The woods referred to is extremely eerie after dark. I personally stood guard watches here and know the area well. The people and incidents referred to are real and in many cases senior personnel from that time. Much of this material is alluded to in other texts and is true. This individual author is extremely knowledgable about this and speaks from personal knowledge. This book is extremely factual and thought provoking and will definitely hold your attention. It is well worth the read.

Summary: An interesting read
Review: Whether you believe Larry Warren's account of events surrounding the Bentwaters indcidents or not, this book makes for interesting reading.

According to Larry, he's had contact with ETs since he was a child. Bentwaters was just another example. But what an example. This book deals with the before, during and after of an incident that occurred around Christmas 1980, when a UFO supposedly crashed in Rendelsham forest next to a US airbase containing nuclear weapons. The UFO and entities contained therein were observed at close quarters by a number of American servicemen, Larry being one of them.

This book is, of course, just the version given by one person and thus, cannot be taken as a definitive account. Indeed, as other reviewers have pointed out, Larry was interviewed by Georgina Bruni for her book on the subject and she found herself frustrated by his ever-changing account of events.

Whilst it's true that something strange went on in Rendelsham forest on Christmas 1980, it may be a long time before we find out the whole truth. This book, though, may give you an idea of what went on.
