Rating: Summary: It Is What It Says It Is Review: It is the most positive work of literature I have ever encountered, and too beautifully composed to have originated in the mind of man. I have been reading and re-reading this book for 20-years; I expect I shall not finish it--at least not comprehend all that's in it--in this lifetime. If there's anything in you that hints there's life after death, you'll want the information in this volume. But beware: it speaks to others. Like The Bible it is history, praise and wisdom, not shackled to a specific geographical area, but encompassing the world. Just how did Abraham relate to Hiawatha? This is a modern book, for today's world. It has taught me to understand yesterday, today and tomorrow. If I could give it ten stars, I would.
Rating: Summary: FROM HEAVEN ABOVE Review: THIS BOOK WILL OPEN YOUR MIND, IT WILL MAKE YOU THINK, EXPLORE AND YOU WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. IF YOU WISH TO BELIEVE OR NOT IS NOT YOUR CHOICE ANYMORE AFTER READING THIS BOOK. THERE IS NO BEING IN THIS WORLD THAT COULD CREATE SUCH AN ELABORATE FANTASY STORY, AT LEAST NOT IN ONE LIFETIME. THIS STORY IS INSPIRED BY SOMETHING LARGER THAN US. READ IT! THINK ABOUT IT AND SHARE IT WITH OTHERS.
Rating: Summary: Things You Didn't Know That You Didn't Know Review: This is not an easy read. It is written in 19th century English, so there are lots of thees, thous, thys which cometh and goeth. This book resulted following the event of 31st March 1848 when, according to Oahspe, the veil of heaven was pulled aside and angels were let forth to allow the living and the dead to converse. This was the dawn of the so-called Kosmon era.
It's a history of the world combined with lifestyle advice. The huge cast includes God, a.k.a. Jehovih, the Great Spirit, the I Am, the Ever Present, Om/Na, Ormazd, the Creator plus his original son in a man's body who died and was resurrected: Zoraster Zarathustra, also other men directly inspired by him, including Confucius, a summary of whose teachings are included in this book. Also featured are the False Gods, including Looeamong and Gabriel (previously known as Thoth) who are cited as the intelligences behind Christianity and Islam, respectively.
If this book is to be believed, humans are mere playthings in the palms of God and the False Gods. For instance, it is alleged here that Christ (Looeamong) directly influenced British Prime Minister Lord Palmerston by telling him that the Chinese were a drunken worthless people and that he could overcome them and possess their country, wherein were stored great riches. The opium wars followed, which ultimately failed due to sufficient belief by the Chinese in the words of Confucius. Also, it is alleged that the American civil war was inspired by angel warriors of God with the purpose being to abolish slavery. Then Abraham Lincoln was visited by God's angels in his dreams and was inspired by them to visit a fortune teller where he was told to abolish slavery, which he did, as a result.
Further back, the false god Baal inspired the Romans, Christ inspired Constantine, their multitudinous angel warriors inspired Christians and Romans to fight each other, Christ won, Baal was cast into hell. Christ was assisted by Gabriel and promised him a patch of Earth to rule over. However, he failed to deliver and after several years Gabriel lost patience, defected and inspired a man called Mohammed to start a religion called Islam. Essentially, all wars then are the result of turf wars in the lower heavens, known as atmospherea, which encompass the atmospheric regions of the Earth, but which are invisible to humans.
The book goes back to creation of man, and revisits all the events of the King James bible. It's like one vast apocrypha. The flood is pinpointed to the continent of Pan, the remnants of which are called Japan: remnants of Pan. There is also explanation of the construction and purpose of the Great Pyramid, also referred to here as the Temple of Osiris. I would have liked to have seen a history and explanation of some other mysterious archaeological structures e.g. the Sphinx, Stonehenge, the Nazca lines and the Easter Island statues for instance. So it leaves plenty of mysteries remaining, and doesn't explain the culture of South America, e.g. the Aztecs and Incas and how did a huge Olmec head appear in Mexico with African features? Unanswered here. I'd have given it 5 stars if it had addressed these and maybe some of the hollow earth theories. However the Book of Cosmology and Prophecy is a fascinating inclusion and is a far-out study of astrophysics and vortices, complete with weird, surrealistic illustrations.
The message of this book is ultimately a simple one. Live to do good to others. This means helping people to help themselves. Also, to purify the body by living a vegetarian diet, which, it says here, promotes spirituality, virtue, wisdom, love . Eating meat meanwhile leads to a disbelief in spirituality, addiction to earthly passions, and if poor a belief that the world is a place of vanity and confusion, or if rich a belief that the world is a place to revel in lusts.
Satan is described as "desire for leadership, which is the captain of death". Preachers are described as hypocrites, vampires, blasphemers against the Creator. Lawyers are those whose souls are full of serpents, and there is more wisdom in a bird song than in the words of a philosopher.
