Rating: 5 stars
Summary: a very helpful book
Review: I read this book during a serious illness. The forty chapters average 3 pages each. Each chapter explores one thought in clear language that can be grasped even by someone very ill on pain medication. The book gave me hope, comfort, and strengthened both my faith and my will to endure. Each chapter used quotes from the Bible, Book of Mormon, and other LDS works to flesh out its concepts, but the book would be helpful to any Christian. The book is divided into 4 sections. Each section has an illustrated page which presents an additional idea that summarizes the section, so you end up with 44 topics to think about. Chapters that helped me the most include: Visiting Here in Weakness, Glimpses of Growth, He Searches the Heart, Dispelling Fear, He Delivers, Surrounded by Angels, His Comfort, The Inward Miracle.
