Summary: Good insight into the world of Louis XIV
Review: Cardinal Richelieu's instructions for a king were very informative while learning about the era of Louis XIV. The first half of the book is interesting and at times humerous to read what he believed about people. However the second half slows down considerably and brings down the book. It was assigned to me or I would have probbably never read it, not having much interest in France in general but it wasn't a bad read.
