Summary: One of the most profound philosophical works I've ever read.
Review: This wonderfully profound gem of a philosophical work is possibly the most detailed and intuitively appealing explanation of what may happen after death I have ever read. This book explains the phenomena of ghosts and gives a very reasonable and believable description of the afterlife. The author, Yogi Ramacharaha, was one of the great philosophical thinkers of the early 20th century. He and Swami Vivakananda both came to America to teach yoga philosophy and both wrote books on a wide range of topics. It is amazing that two such remarkable minds did their work at around the same historical time. Another great book by Yogi Ramacharaha is "Gnani Yoga" which is also the title of a book by Swami Vivakananda. These two works are also quite great although I think Ramacharaha's work is a far more profound piece of writing. In conclusion, this book deserves a better review than I am giving it, but if you are looking for a truly outstanding piece of thinking about that "undiscovered country from whose bourne no traveller returns" than please read this book. I can truly say that this book has shaped my thinking very much on this topic, and I am very glad both that Amazon is offering this hard to get masterpiece, and that I have a chance to write a few words about it.
