Summary: It's for Kids--OK, Parents Too!
Review: I really liked this book because it has good stories. I like it that it that it says living in a step family can turn out good. I also like that this book has short bible verses that teach me about getting along and stuff. I am glad my parents read this book to me and my brother.

Summary: The Spritual and the Practical for Blended Familes
Review: The author of Devotions for the Blended Family speaks to the need for a strength greater than oneself when living in a step family. She shows how the Bible contains wisdom for the struggles of step families, and does this by using interesting stories from every day family life. Children will love the stories, understand the biblical applications, and be reassured that other kids have the same problems they do. Parents will be glad to use Smith-Broersma's book as a tool for discussing areas of difficulty with their children. The questions at the end of each reading have enriched many a family conversation, and help the to children open up to their parent and step parent.
