Rating: Summary: The Buddha was the master of the good ol' yarn. Review: These six short stories, or myths, are those that Buddha told to his disciples when prompted to illustrate his teachings. These fables are retold here in simple, conversational style english. They are laid out in a framework that connects the tales. The stories are told by a statue of Buddha to a group of animals in a temple seeking shelter from a monsoon. Instead of seeking to take these tales out of the realm of religion and faith, Lee allows his sincere fate to shine through here, which adds to his accomplishment.
