Rating: Summary: Hilarious, Sweet and Sexy Review: I would highly recommend this title to anyone looking for a good romantic comedy. This book had it all. I was immediately pulled into the story and came to care about the characters, both main and secondary. This ranks right up there with "Manhunting" by Jennifer Crusie as far as entertainment value. (Be sure to check that title out if you loved this one!) I will be eagerly anticipating Ms. Donovan's next book.
Rating: Summary: Whoooeeeeee! Review: If you like Rachel Gibson, you will like Susan Donovan. This is one of the more funny, entertaining, romances I have read. I loved it. Another one of those books you read in one sitting.Autumn Adams (aka Audie) has taken her mother's place as Homey Helen, an advice guru to the Martha Stewart crowd. But someone has been sending her threatening notes. Finally she calls in the police. Sounds familiar right? WRONG! Detective Stacy Quinn (aka Quinn) is unlike most other detective characters I have read. He is funny, steady, neat, and has a wonderful family. All the things Audie thinks she is not, and his family fills her with envy. The search for her stalker, leads to several ex-boyfriends. And a wonderfully humorous attraction between her and Quinn. You will be wishing to have a loving family like the Quinns, too. As the stalker gets more violent in his notes, we are truly mistified as to why any one would want to harm Audie. From the wonderful characters to the twisting plot, I was enthralled. Great entertainment. Don't miss this book. I look forward to more of these books by Susan Donovan!
Rating: Summary: difficult to get into Review: im so sorry but this book i just could not get into. i gave it three chances. the story was cute and could have been a good book but there was absolutly no build up of the chemistry between the characters. it was as if i was a stranger to these peoples lives. and a good book just doesnt make you feel that way. the book was a little to elemntary to me. when a author describes a touch between characters you want to feel it, not go eerrgh yuck
if your looking at this book and trying to decide DONT BUY IT. if your looking for action, humor romance and to be part of a book
check out the FULL series by Janet Evonovich and Charlotte Hughes the characters and story will have you coming back for more.
Rating: Summary: Enough of the wacky heiresses! Review: Maybe I was having a bad day or something, but this book certainly didn't help. The author was able to push all my buttons. It started out with that wacky heiress, Audie. I couldn't stand her. She was loud, she changed clothes in the car right after she met Quinn, and she had a ton of emotional baggage. She also had many previous relationships. If a woman in a book has a lot of men in her past, what's to stop her from having lots more in the future? I always look at it that way-it doesn't seem to me that the hero is that special. He's just one in a long line. Anyway, Quinn was great. I think instead of wanting to get close to Audie, he would be taking off fast in the opposite direction. She and her wacky hijinks would wear thin after a while, I am sure. Anyway, in my opinion, this book( and I refer mainly to Audie) is a stinker. I had read Take a Chance on Me, but this same author and I loved that book. The characters in that hit just the right note. And the little dog in that book, Hairy, was adorable. His owner, Thomas, was a keeper, too. Plus, I really liked the heroine, Emma, in that one. Pass on Audie's antics and pick up Take a Chance on Me. It's a lot better book.

Rating: Summary: Absolutely Divine Review: The type of book you just can't let go until finished! Read it in two nights and that was because I had to go to work the next day. Funny, extremely entertaining. The Quinn's were absolutely great, the type of family that you just have to adore; crazy, loving, funny, real, and detective Stacey... well to bad is only fiction. The book made me laugh, sight, hope but also keeps you wondering earnestly until the end. Great book, loved it, worth the money.
Rating: Summary: Quick Read Review: This book is a quick read...in case you need something to fill in between books. It's not that great of a story! Autumn Adams has taken over writing her mother's column after she was brutally murdered. She doesn't want to do it, but feels obligated to. She has a dysfunctional family. The detective assigned to her case has a wonderful family and she falls in love with him...but pushes him away. It's all very textbook and can be a bit boring to read.
Rating: Summary: funny, sexy, great! Review: This book was awesome! Parts of it were extremely funny, and I found myself laughing out loud. All of the characters seem real, too... they all have their little flaws, quirks, etc., and Quinn and Audie each aren't what the other expects, despite their overwhelming attraction to each other. For instance, Quinn starts off picturing Audie in leopard-print underwear, only to be disillusioned by discovering her sleepwear consists of old soccer jerseys and white cotton panties instead. Secondary characters are also appealing and have depth. Quinn's family is vastly appealing in the strength of their familial love and the support and banter between them. I liked that although this book is a pure joy to read, it's not shallow or forgettable. The mystery is actually a good part of the plot, as opposed to other romance novels I've read where the mystery is either ridiculous or easily ignored. I liked the fact that Quinn and Audie didn't just jump into bed with each other, despite the obvious and instant sexual tension. They got to know and like each other first. The dialogue between Quinn and Audie is interesting and witty, not to mention sexy, and the love scenes are REALLY good when they happen. I've read about 200 romance novels so I know what I'm talking about here, Quinn is one sexy man. (while boyishly shy sometimes outside the bedroom). Read this book! you won't regret it.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding! Review: This book was very well done. Audie and Stacey were a great couple. The Quinn family was so wonderful and endearing I actually felt like I was at the birthday party and the musical! The plot was great and held my attention throughout the whole book. Each character's actions seemed true to form, and very realistic. I thought it very funny when Audie dragged a reluctant Griffin to hear the Quinn family play. In fact, there were lots of funny moments, with very witty dialogue. The love scenes were a bit more graphic than I'm used to reading about, but certainly not offensive. I guess my only problem with this book (and it's minor) is Stacey's language when intimate with Audie. He kind of degraded 'the act', in my opinion.
