Rating: Summary: NO STARS FOR THIS BOOK Review: I give this book a thumbs down. It doesn't even merit the one star. I read 5 chapters and discovered I can put the book down and forget about it. I enjoyed " Someone To Watch Over Me" and "Somewhere I"ll Find You" but this one was a big disappointment. Save your money.
Rating: Summary: Great story Review: A great story by the remarkable Ms. Kleypas. However, this book could've been much better. The back cover blurb reads: "'Lady Hawksworth, your husband is not dead...' With those words, Lara's life is turned upside down. Hunter, Earl of Hawksworth, had been lost at sea. Or so she'd been told. Their unhappy marriage--with its cold caresses and passionless kissed--was over. But now a powerful virile man stood before her, telling secrets only a husband could know, and vowing she would once again be his wife in every way. While Lara couldn't deny that this man with the smoldering dark eyes resembled Hunter, he was attentive and loving in ways he never was before. Soon she desperately wanted to believe, with every beat of her heart, that this stranger was truly her husband. But has this rake reformed--or was Lara being seduced by a cunning stranger?" S.
Rating: Summary: save your money on this one Review: although i am a fan of lisa kleypas, i found it really hard to finish this book and remain a loyal reader. this book just didnt make sense, it was just so implausible, it was ridiculous. for example, the man who was so-called "hunter" described to lara a mark that she had on her body that only her husband would know. however, this does not make sense, because first of all, the real hunter probably didnt take the time to stare at lara's behind when he was practicing his marital rights. furthermore, even if he had, how would "hunter" have known? after all, the secret journals were filled with secrets that the real "hunter" would have deemed important, but certainly not what his wife's backside looked like. it is also highly unlikely that a half-brother would look so much like his brother that he could fool his sister in law. i say this not only because of the looks, but also because of the mannerisms. how would a mercenary in india know how a quintessential english gentlemen would behave? i guess only someone really stupid woldn't know the difference, but maybe lara was exactly that. anyway, save your money on this one, rather, buy lisa kleypas's "then came you." that one is worthy to remain on your "keepers" shelf.
Rating: Summary: I give this book less then one Star Review: I thought this book stunk. It was the worst book I have ever read in my life.I found the character of Lara to present herself as kind and compassionate but compassionate she was not she was a royal B!^(#. She was so stupid I was revolted. She acts all sweet and kind to people she does not know but to the person she "supposedly loves" she turns on him.She was so selfish too that when he told he about his life all she thought about was herself. The story was so badly told that you could tell what was going to happen way before it happend. As for her sister I thought she was just as dumb as her sister actully more so she was dumb enough to want to go back to a man who beat her.And Arther and Janet were so horrible I would have killed them. The only charaters I liked were "Hunter" and if you have read the book you know what I mean and the sub-characters. Other then them I thought the other charaters where stupid and horrible. In conclution i felt this book was a waste of good trees or even recycled trees. And contrany to what Jill Barnett said(who I think is a wonderful writer) I did want it to end.

Rating: Summary: ONE OF THE BEST ROMANCE NOVELS WRITTEN! A MUST READ! Review: This book was so amazing! It kind of disturbed me that Lara could forgive Hunter after all the terrible things he did to her and even when Lara didn`t think it was Hunter she still gave into him. But all in all this book was so great. I finished reading it the day I got it. I couldn`t put it down. I love this book. Please anyone who likes romance novels, you`ll love this. And anyone who disagrees please email me and I`ll defend the book till the end! Best Book Ever!!!!!!

Rating: Summary: THE BEST BOOK I'VE READ IN A LONG TIME. Review: I read this book on my return flight from Missouri. Its my first Lisa Kleypas book. I couldn't put it down. I finished the book before we landed. The story was engrossing and I loved the two prinicpal characters. I've rarely read a book that made me forget where I was, but this did. Well done!! I'm a fan of Ms. Kleypas for life!!!!
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put the book down and loved every word of it. Review: This book had great characters and the story was believable.I felt like I was right there with Lara unsure if Hunter was really was her husband and if a man could change that much. There was always that question in your mind was this man really Hunter,Earl of Hawksworth. It reminded me of the movie "Sommersby" with Jodie Foster and Richard Gere. I really enjoyed the book and now when I am looking for more reading enjoyment I will put Lisa Kleypas on the top of my list.
