Summary: Fantastic ending to a Captivating trilogy!
Review: "Finding the Dream" is the final instalment in Nora Roberts' "Dream" trilogy and it is just as wonderful as the previous two books. The story is touching and completely absorbing.
This book focuses on Laura Templeton, although her two "sisters of the heart" Kate and Margo play an important part in the story.
Laura has recently ended her marriage to the selfish and cruel Peter, and has been left with two young children and no self-esteem. She is too proud to use her rich family to fall back on for help with her financial problems and is determined to prove that she can make it on her own. Laura is a wonderful, sympathetic heroine with plenty of steel underneath her gentle exterior.
Bad-boy Michael Fury, a childhood friend of Laura's brother Josh, moves into the apartment above the stables while his home is being repaired after a landslide. Laura has always felt uncomfortable around this dangerously handsome man and he stirs strange and unwelcome feelings inside her. As time passes, however, Laura and Michael find it hard to deny the attraction they feel for each other. Laura is moved by how wonderful Michael is with her two daughters and begins her fall into love. Michael is concerned that he is becoming too attached to Laura and her daughters, because he feels that he isn't good enough for them and can't possibly keep them in his life.
As Michael romances Laura, he shows her feelings and desires she didn't even know she had. As their relationship grows, Laura's self-confidence returns. Michael and Laura are a wonderful couple and NR does a fabulous job of writing a realistic, touching and sexy romance.
But before Laura's dreams of love and a family with Michael can come true, Michael must accept himself and realize that Laura loves him for who he is. Because Michael's misplaced self-doubt may cause him to step back from Laura and destroy the happiness they have found.
This is an absolutely first-class book and I highly recommend the entire trilogy. In "Finding the Dream" the friendship that Laura, Margo, and Kate share continues to be the one of the very best elements and blends seamlessly with the romance. This book does a great job of wrapping up the trilogy and will leave you sated and satisfied!

Summary: I hated to see the trilogy end
Review: "Finding The Dream", the final installment of the Monterey, California-based "Dream" trilogy, lives up to the promise of the first two books and makes it nearly impossible to select a favorite. These three novels about "sisters of the heart" beautifully captured the essence of friendship and family.

This novel tells the story of Laura Templeton, the daughter of the proprieters of the Templeton Hotel chain and "heiress" of sorts to that fortune. In reality the story is about Laura Templeton, divorced single mother of 2 girls, who won't cash in on her family's name (or money) and faces the very common problems of not enough time, not enough money, and not enough self-esteem after her crushing divorce.

Enter Michael Fury, certified bad-boy and close childhood friend of Laura's brother. Michael takes up residence in the unused stables on Templeton property and Laura is forced to deal with a man she's always made a point to stay away from. Both find that they have a lot of misconceptions about the other, and they slowly discover that they like and admire each other after all. This is a romance novel, after all!

I loved the "Dream" trilogy, and would be hard-pressed to recommend one book over another. For perhaps the first time in one of NR's trilogies, no clear-cut favorite emerges. They are equally wonderful.

Summary: Excellent, Excellent, EXCELLENT
Review: * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *This book was so good that I gave it a 20* rating. I would have given it a 100 star rating, but the stars would have taken up the whole space. At least you get my meaning by putting the extra 15 stars. I like the earlier dream series, but this one top it all (I didn't think it was possible). Laura was such a sweet person and Michael was something else. He was perfect for Laura. Anyway, BUY this book, you WON'T be SORRY.

Review: As always, Nora crafts some of the best dialogue between her characters. It's always witty and refreshing. However, this was not quite the conclusion I was expecting.

I really thought Laura would break out of her mold a bit more, especially in her conversations with her ex-husband. She almost seemed (dare I say it?) wimpy in her dealings with him, particularly the scene at the dance with Candy. And why did Candy never get her "just desserts?" She was such a venomous character, I thought for sure she'd be taken down a peg or two more from her last "locker stuffing."

Overall, a predictable conclusion, based on hints given in the other two stories. A bit of closure for the whole trilogy would have been great. I know Nora's not big on epilogues, but I would have appreciated one this time.

Review: I have read several of Nora Roberts' books, and have always enjoyed them. This one is the best one I've read so far from her! (Although the "Born in . . " series was really great!) It was great! Someone like Laura and someone like Michael . . . whew! and we have all run across a Michael in our lives . . . :)

It was very well written, as her books always are, with me feeling the emotions all along the way with Laura. A good writer makes you feel that. :)

If you haven't bought it yet, buy it!!!

Review: I like this book. It is a story of a woman finding love again after a broken marriage. Michael's easy bond with Laura's children has win them over, even though it was pretty difficult with the younger daughter. Laura has to struggle over the chioces of whether to accept Michael. Overall, an enjoyable story with a hint of humour here and there.

Review: I must have read almost every Roberts and each one is more captivating than the next. In this concluding trilogy, Laura teaches you a lot about being a good daughter, friend, mother and of course a Woman. The last is taught to her by Micheal, who is a wonderful, worldly man but yet from the inside, insecure. He has had so many letdowns in life and Laura teaches him to love. A meeting of two desperate souls looking for an everlasting love. All in all A MUST READ.

Review: I really enjoyed this book. Usually the first in the trilogies is the best but not in this case, at least not for me. There is something about men who don't think they're good enough for their love interest that captures my heart. Michael Fury friend to Josh, Laura's brother is renting a place with stables at the Templetons. Laura who was mistreated by her first husband is in my opinion, the sweetest of the three friends. I love the connection they make. The entire story was interesting and heartwarming as Laura's daughters connect with this father figure. I only wish that not all of Ms. Robert's stories have the couple realizing they are both in love until the last page of the book. I would rather enjoy reading a little of the happiness in the marriage for at least one chapter rather than the last page of the story. Neverthless, a great read, and in my opinion, the best in the Dream trilogy.
