Rating: Summary: Riveting story Review: DON'T TELL moves at a barrel neck pace and is a riveting story spun by new romantic suspense author Karen Rose. Rob Winters, a corrupt cop, is brutally violent and doesn't hesitate to exploit his position as a police officer to abuse, maim and even kill those that cross his path. For years his own wife, Mary Grace Winters, is held in his grasp as he pummels her time and time again. After too many visits to the hospital Mary Grace meets several nurses that inspire her to leave. Plotting the death of herself and her son 9 years ago was her first step in escaping her abusive husband. Caroline Stewart has started a new life for herself and her son and with the help of her friend Dana, who heads a shelter for battered women has created a future. Dana is a tough cookie, always there to lean on, and to push Caroline during difficult times. Max Hunter, her new boss and head of the history department enters her life like a clap of thunder. He's devastatingly handsome, tall, and muscular. He also has a handicap and walks with the help of a cane. Going through his own personal private battles he also is making a new start. There is instant intense chemistry between Max and Caroline, and for the first time in her life Caroline finds a man she can trust. However, the car she sent into the river has been found and Rob, her husband, is now on the hunt for her son and for Caroline. Prepare for the hair to stand on end at the back of your neck, as you follow Rob's methodical hunt for her wife. As Caroline begins her new life with Max, he is ever closer to destroying it all. Tom, her son, is a strong young male character, deeply protective of his mother while exuding his sadness over their past. Tom is one of many rich secondary characters you learn to care about in this captivating debut suspense by author Karen Rose. Prepare yourself for a story that pulls you in and does not let go until the last page is turned.
Rating: Summary: You won't believe it's her first book!! Review: I couldn't believe that this was the author's first book. I had to double check Amazon.com because she writes such a fabulous story it just didn't seem possible. Believe me, you will fall in love with the hero and heroine of this book. Both come to the story with tragic pasts and yet both overcome their wounds to find true love. A book that will have you crying and sighing as you read. In my opinion, not to be missed!
Rating: Summary: Great New Writer Review: I enjoyed this book from page 1 and have since gone out and bought "Have You Seen Her?" She seems to be getting better with each book. I'm looking forward to her next one immensely. Am astounded by the "Don't Waste Your Time" review of July 12th and can't figure out where the reviewer is coming from. Seriously wondered if she read the same book I did!!!! Sounds like this person needs to stick to reading non-fiction rather than fiction that's written to entertain.
Rating: Summary: A True "KEEPER" Review: I have limited space and read an unbelievable amount of books, so for a book to make it to my keeper shelf is rare. Karen Rose's debut book- "Don't Tell" is now sitting there. She had escaped the husband who had brutally abused both her and her son. After 7 years the scared abused "Mary Grace" she had once been is gone replaced by "Caroline" a strong single mother with a future. One that may include her sexy new boss, Max. All this changes when her psychopathic husband finds out she is still alive. This book is so well written. It manages to let you into the heads of Caroline, Max, Caroline's husband Rob, and FBI agent Stephen Thatcher seamlessly. The suspense is riviting. The sexual tension between Max and Caroline absolutely yummy. Caroline's son...well you have to read the story . He is a 14y/o that needs a soap opera aging so I can read his story, he is definitely a tortured hero in the making!!!!!!! At the end of the book is an excerpt from her next book "Have You Seen Her" This one again fetures FBI Agent Stephen Thatcher. It says Coming soon. All I want to know is when is "soon".
Rating: Summary: Great Read! Review: I loved the hair-gripping suspense, but also liked the relationship building among the characters. The relentless villain--one of the most evil I've read--is a chilling portrait and a great contrast to the story of two damaged people who must learn to overcome their pasts in order to have a future together. If you enjoy the best of suspense combined with the best of romance, you'll love Don't Tell. Highly recommended!
Rating: Summary: Don't Tell Review: I really enjoyed this book so much. I read it in 2 days and if I hadn't been sleepy I would have stayed up all night the first night. The author has a talent in writing that makes you feel like you know the characters. It was filled with suspense that kept you on the egde of your seat but it also had a love story.I was so sad when the story ended I wanted to read more. After finishing the book I went to the author's website and found out that her next book won't be out until February 2004.And that Don't Tell was her first book. I give this book 5 stars.Pam

Rating: Summary: To similiar too.... Review: If you read "The Perfect Husband" by Lisa Gardner then you will be disappointed in this book, at least I was. It was a great story, the author did a good job but as I read the story I kept thinking "Ive read this already"? Karen Rose tells a great story, I would read her next book, hopefully it wont resemble someone elses story so much.If you havent read "The Perfect Husband" the Im sure you'll love this book.
