Rating: Summary: A lengthy boo-hoo! Review: Although the story is compelling, I NEVER need that much of a good cry. For the sake of my health, after finishing this book, I have sworn off such constant tear-jerkers.
Rating: Summary: What a piece of drivel. Review: This book was laced with death on every page. Every bad thing that could happen to everyone happens. Every relationship is filled with strife and antagonism. Cancer, divorce, deaths, teenagers hating step-parents, family fights. Ugh. Perfect for bored housewives who spend all their time watching Lifetime movies and afternoon talk shows. Save your time and money. Read Nora Roberts, Susan Elizabeth Philips, or Judith McNaught instead.
Rating: Summary: Power of love Review: This book really is a story about the power of love and healing. It has all of the elements for a great story: family, love, healing, growing, learning, forgiving...Anything by Luanne Rice is a wonderful read. If you haven't read her yet- do!
Rating: Summary: Bring Out Your Hankies! Review: While generally well written, it is just too sad! No opportunity to wring the emotions is omitted. Be sure to have someone you love or a box of chocolate nearby, you'll need it.
Rating: Summary: A heartwarming story Review: Cloud Nine is a must read for romance lovers. I recently discovered Luann Rice and her books and this one did not disappoint. I felt so much a part of the characters that I rejoiced with them and cried with them. A great read indeed.
Rating: Summary: Yikes Review: Maybe it's the voice used by the actress on the audio, or maybe it's the prose itself, but I felt like this was an overdramatic telling of a good, basic, universal story of newfound love and loss. Supporting character Susan/Snow seemed particularly cliched and immature, and therefore irritating. I wouldn't recommend this.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Review: I am a very big fan of Luanne Rice and after just finishing Cloud Nine I feel I must share how great it was. It wasn't like most love stories..this was emotional and intreguing I could hardly put it down. I would recommend this book to women because it is such a powerful story and to men to show how women love to be taken care of.
Rating: Summary: If you love Luanne Rice, you`ll love K.C. McKinnon, too! Review: I just finished reading "Cloud 9" and will read her other books, too. But did nobody realize that Luanne Rice writes in the same style that K.C. McKinnon(alias Cathie Pelletier) does? Read "Dance in the Harvest Moon" and "Candles at Bay Street"(this one is very similar to "Cloud 9")and I bet you`ll agree to me and love K.C. McKinnon books as much as Luanne Rice books in the end. I read the two K.C. McKinnon books over and over again, sad that she didn`t write new ones. Now I discovered Luanne Rice and for me it is as if K.C. McKinnon got revived(wonder why she ever stopped writing).
Rating: Summary: Tearful Story Review: I thought this book was such a sweet love story, it was amazing. To find a love like Will and Sarah found, the book sweaps you into dreams of finding love so passionate and tender. I hated Susan's mother throughout the book, and hated Julian even more. I wanted to KILL them when they gave away the kitten! At the end, when they "changed" I even still felt annoyed at them. However, this book was increadible. It only got 4 stars because it was easy to figure out from start to finish, (I like when unexpected things happen) and a very depressing. However, it was meant to be this way, a emotional journey, so I knew what I was getting into when reading it. Get the tissues ready with this one!
Rating: Summary: Utterly captivating from start to finish! Review: This book was truly amazing! Not only did I SOB at the end but I started crying again when I was just telling someone about it! It has been a long time since a book touched me so deeply. The author makes you feel like you are with the characters through all of the trials and tribulations they encounter. It is a wonderfully written story of life and love that I will not soon forget!
