Summary: better book in the series
Review: Christine Feehan's world of Carpathians enthralled me from the start, and Dark Challenge was no exception. While the story line takes on a far different tone than the other books, the wit and sarcasm of Julian adds a new dimension to the Carpathian men not previously seen. I will agree with other reviewers that the inclusion of other characters makes this a more intricate read, however I felt they only added to the lure of the series.

The building rivalry between Julian and Darius further informs the reader about the dominant/possessive tendencies of the Carpathian men. All in all I found this one of the most enjoyable books in the serious. Go ahead, delve into the world of Carpathians... You'll never look at vampires the same way again!
