Summary: Great series but is that it?
Review: Does it end with Orchid? I think it is great but I want more of it. Make the series longer.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Fun Read!
Review: I agree with the other reviews. This is the best of the series. The others are merely good. This one is fantastic. It stands alone. You could buy this one without the others and have no difficulty understanding the plot. This one is funnier, more edgy, and more sexy. Highly recommend.

Summary: A GREAT BOOK!!!
Review: I loved it!!!! Ms. Castle further developed the world of St. Helens which she created in Amarallys and again her characters of Zinnia and Nick were wonderful.

It may not be the most original series you'll ever read but if you're looking for just the right touch of fantasy and mystery and most importantly romance and chemistry, this is the way to go.

Summary: Bull's Eye with this one - Jayne Castle/Jayne Ann Krentz/etc
Review: I must say that it is rare to find a book by Jayne Castle/Amanda Quick/Jayne Ann Krentz that stinks. I have read romances over 10 years and this author never fails to entertain. I try to collect all of her works and read them until they are in tatters. As a rule, I hate futuristic romance. However, in true Jayne style, her books are humorous, full of intrigue and make me wish for a hero like Zinnia's in my life. I also love it that your female leads have real names like Augusta, Orchid, etc. It makes the character more human. You never disappoint me, Jayne. Your number one fan! [Maggie] I will even eat Mac&Cheese to afford your books.

Summary: Best of the Series
Review: I've read all of novels in the series ie: Zinnia, Amaryllis and Orchid and I still think that this is the best one of the three series. I think that it's probably because Nick's matrix talent is by the far the most interesting of all three heroines. Of course I love Jayne Castle (Jayne Ann Krentz) so I may be a little bit biased. Nevertheless I think the series represents the best of the futuristic romance genre.

Summary: A Fun Read!
Review: In this second book of the series, Ms. Castle (aka Jayne Ann Krentz) introduces us to Zinnia Spring and Nick Chastain on earth colony St. Helen's. Here we learn about another Prism/Talent pair that track down the missing journal of a doomed exploration, lead by Nick's late father. Sparks between Zinnia and Nick burn bright when they join in their "link" and as their romance grows. The reader also will enjoy revisiting friends and places from the previous story.

If you're a fan of futuristic romance with a psychic twist, this book is for you! I've enjoyed all three books so far (the first: Amaryllis, the second: Zinnia, and the third: Orchid), and am looking forward to more!

Summary: I have never been a fan of futuristic romance but.....
Review: Ms. Castle(Jayne Ann Krentz) has done it again. She has converted a non-reader of futuristic tales, into an avid fan who can't wait for the next in the series! Her characters are so well drawn, intelligent and communicate so well. She writes some of the best dialogue you will find in romances today. The premise of the psychic needing a prism to focus is a great hook and works. One of the things that I especially like about Jayne's work, is she has her hero and heroin together for most of the book. I don't like a romance that the "couple" spend chapter after chapter apart.

Summary: Good read for both the light Sci-Fi and the romance reader.
Review: Ms. Krentz (writing as Jayne Castle) has successfully delivered a completelly enjoyable mix of light science-fiction and romance, with a touch of mystery for flavour. Her fictional world of St. Helens is a mystifying blend of all the right elements of the past and the present, with just the right touch of the future to make it interesting: the old-fashioned way the inhabitants go about their lives worrying over scandals aka the 19th century, the of-the-hand usage of car- phones and computers, very much like our today and the obscure and misunderstood interactions of psionic power and their effect on people and society... perhaps the way of the future?

Character-wise, Mr. Nicholas "Nick" Chastains, possessor of a strong dose of the rare "Matrix-talent", casino-owner and bastard in the real sense of the word (the population of St. Helens is very class-oriented) comes across as a well-rounded individual. Ms. Zinnia Springs, as the heroine of the novel, emerges from the pages as a compelling young woman who underwent several serious upheavals in her personal life and though declared "unmatchable", has managed to find herself a new job, build herself a future and get herself a husband... definitively a good, strong woman- figure, reminiscent of Lt. Nicole Shea of "First Flight".

"Zinnia" was a throughoutly enjoyable experience, one you will not be able to put down unless of course, it is part of your matrix to do so.
