Summary: well written, passionate, sensual and dramatic
Review: Courtesy of A Romance Review

Dark Fires is well written, passionate, sensual and dramatic. Reading this book was more or less like watching a drama. Each character seemed to dance out in front of you. The emotions were strong between the lines and some of the love screens would leave you aching.

Summary: Never a Dull Moment! Terrific!
Review: Hot, Hot, Hot, this book was terrific! I could not put it down. Kept me up late and got me up early, neglected my family just to read one more page. It was wonderful. Brenda Joyce is the greatest! The story of Jane Barclay and Nicholas Bragg, the Earl of Dragmore. Their lifes were in constant turmoil, always something going on. They had so many mis-understandings, but Bredna Joyce did an excellent job of bringing out the characters' viewpoints in such a way you could understand where they were coming from. Jane became Nick's ward when she was dumped on him uninvited. All he needed was another problem. The chemestry between these two sizzled. You won't be disappointed! This is a must read!!

Summary: Exasperating but good
Review: I enjoyed the book very much especially the first half. After that there were times I felt like throwing the book across the room. One misunderstanding after another and I felt for both Nick and Jane. He being part Indian felt all women would be repelled. Jane, Nick's ward loves him from the start and so does he but he doesn't think it's right after all he is supposed to find her a husband. Again I have to go back to the misunderstandings that tear these two apart. If you can handle that, then read on... the ending is worth the read. You will not be disappointed.

Summary: VERY HOT!!!
Review: If you have read "Innocent Fire," then you must read this novel. It is about Nicholas Bragg, the first-born son of Derek and Miranda. He is also the Earl of Dragmore. He is rumored to have murdered his first wife even after he was found innocent by a British court. He is wild, explosive, uncouthed and as handsome as sin. Jane Barclay becomes his ward and she is determined to tame the Texas rakehell. Their story is simply delicious. One that you will read time and time again.

Nicholas Bragg, the son of Derek and Miranda in Innocent Fire, is living in hell. He is dealing with a family secret he cannot share, his wife is dead and socitey thinks he killed her and most importantly he has a new young ward who he needs to stay away from. Jane, is a young, sensual innocent girl who falls in love with the powerful Nicholas. This book is hot. Jane is willing to do anything to have Nicholas take an interest in her. Summary: Could Not Put It Down!
Review: It was that good. I mean it had just enough excitement, romance, suspense to keep you awake. Nicholas and Jane were just explosive together. I loved it when Nicholas found out that Jane was faithful for the 2 years they were apart. It made him realize that Jane truly loved him and that she loved him even if he was a half-breed and a the son of a rapist. I thought Nicholas was a true gentlemen because he kept on wanting to fight his feelings for Jane because she was his ward and a innocent girl. But Jane knew what she wanted, and she wanted Nicholas, so she went after him. She even tries to wear her mother's dress to make Nicholas see her as more of a grown-up woman, so she can compete with his mistress. I thought they would never get together because circumstances kept on keeping them apart throughout the book.

Review: The chemistry between the hero and heroine practically sizzled. Brenda Joyce always delivers riveting plots full of intrique and passion. This novel is representative of the writing style that is uniquely Brenda Joyce. I must say that I enjoyed her earlier works more than her newer novels.
