Summary: The Bride
Review: I loved this book. It made me feel so alive. I laughed and cried with joy. Brenna and Alec were so wonderfully written. After this book, I have read all of Julie Garwood's others. This is my favorite in Historical Romance. I wish I could be Brenna and go back in time.

Summary: Romance and Laugh in the Highlands
Review: I loved this book! Jayme and Alec come alive in your imagination thanks to Ms. Garwood's pen. I laughed (and cried a little)and throroughly enjoyed it. I recomend it to anyone wishing to read a real nice story with a joyful ending and plenty of action in the middle.

Summary: Classic Garwood! A must read!
Review: Garwood is in true form with a story of Scottish Lairds and English Maidens. Hysterical, page turner. Get ready to fall in love with Alec Kincaid.

Summary: Darling and Funny
Review: Jamie is one of the best heroines in the genre. She has an unfortunate propensity for troublemaking (but with good intentions, of course), and is always getting into outrageously funny scrapes. Thankfully, her husband Alec is a sweety who is willing to put up with a lot of nonsense and never mistreats his wife. They are quite a pair. My favorite part happens when Alec gives Jamie his permission to rearrange the kitchen. She surprises him by knocking a big hole in his castle with the intention of "rearranging" the out-of-the way kitchen to a closer location. The dialogue never weakens, Jamie's various dabacles are great, and Alec has brains AND muscle... rock on.

Summary: Finally and author who writes about nice people!
Review: I was so thrilled to have found Julie Garwood- in particular "The Bride." It is wonderful to not have one of those stories where the woman is treated less than kindly until the very end where the man vows undying love and all is forgiven. Give me Julie's strong yet gentle, voracious yet tender men anyday! Her imagery is rich, her dialog funny and charming! I've now read every book she has ever published. The Bride is a good place to start.

Summary: Return to the Highlands
Review: I love Garwood's Scottish Highland setting. I have read several of her medival stories and have a special interest in the ones taking place in Scotland. The heroine, Jamie, is absolutely adorable. She is feisty and fun, yet old fashioned and proper all at once. Her new husband, Alec, does not know what to do with her. I love it! This book had me laughing out loud in many places. I admire the strength and beauty of the main character. The rough-around-the-edges hero is a true man. For all of his grumbling and bluster, you find a true heart, and fall in love with him. I would recommend this book to any one.

Summary: The Best!
Review: Ok..Here's the scoop. I love almost all of Julie Garwood's books (except "Gentle Warrior" - I didn't like the characters) but this is by far her best. A Scotsman, "Alec," comes down to look for a wife and decides on "Jaime." The following story is about their relationship and how they work through their marriage.

Jamie (the heroine) is an absolute doll. I laughed throughout the entire book with her escapades. I was laughing so hard I even frightened my husband. The part when she smacked the horse in the face or when she took the club that was almost as big as her to "knock the guy off his feet" was priceless. Alec (our hero) is so sweet that you wish he really existed. The end was so cute when Alec buys Jaime to keep her with him.

If you want a very well written book that not only has humor but also suspense and romance, buy this one. It's definately a keeper.

Summary: This could easily be my favorite
Review: This book was great. I love to laugh and this book made me laugh and cry, and sigh and fall in love again and again.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Keep it! Do not loan it to anyone
Review: I loaned my book to a "former" friend-(lol)-(also named Jaime), and never got it back. I liked Jaime in this story very much. She was brave enough to stand up to anything or anyone, even her "hunk" of a husband, whom most feared. But she was all female and Alec was all male. Fireworks! The tale between the Scots and the English leaves nothing to be desired, but to have known a "match" like this, at that time, would have been all worth it. Thanx for a great story, Ms. Garwood.
