Summary: One of her very best!!!
Review: I've read MIRROR IMAGE at least 10 times and I never tire of it. Whenever I'm in the mood for a sexy, well-crafted, great story I pick this one up. I've reall all her books since her series novel days and this ranks up there with the best of them!

Summary: Best novel yet for SB for me...
Review: I've read several Sandra Brown novels, of which some I thought were totally boring. But I have to hand it to SB on this one, her talent came through like a shining star. I didn't want to stop reading and thought the plot was one of her best ever. The characters were strong and well described, and the suspense was intense. I love it when I get to the end and I'm still trying to figure out "WHODUNNIT?" That's how it was with MIRROR IMAGE. I will have to agree with another reviewer that some of the sex scenes were a little too descriptive, which didn't really add anything to this story. She probably could have left out some of that and it would have given the story a little more class. Regardless, this novel is good for a 5-star rating and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a romance that's laced with great suspense. My only other problem with the prose is that I think SB at times will tend to try too hard in showing off her knowledge of words, and she gets a little too carried away in using descriptive words that aren't often used and may be a little TOO much for the average reader. I truly did enjoy this novel, which was first published in 1990 and is being reprinted again for SB like several of her other works. For those new SB fans, this one is guaranteed not to disappoint.

Summary: Absolutely Wonderful!
Review: Just could not put this one down. What a story! Avery's strength and dedication to help Tate and let others believe the real "Avery" is gone must of been hard for her. Avery's character is just devine! The love and support she gave Mandy was so heartwarming. The plot about Tate's real wife was mind blowing. Hats off to Sandra Brown on this novel. Sandra is one of my favorite writers. This is a definite pager turner that you simply can not put down. Bravo!

Summary: A captivating romantic thriller
Review: Mirror Image combines a thrilling plot, edge of your seat suspense, and sizzling romance in a story that will hold you from the beginning to the explosive ending. This book is one you can't put down. Sandra Brown is the queen of romantic suspense.

Summary: Spellbound from the very beginning
Review: Mirror Image is the best book by Sandra Brown that I have ever read. I have read just about every one of her books, and this is the one that I simply could not put down and have highly recommended to all my friends. From the very beginning, you are spellbound. The total mystery of what is going on and the heroine's total inability to do anything about her situation urge you to keep reading. I could hardly put the book down until I reached the end and found out who, what, and when. If you like a story that keeps you guessing until the very end, this is the one you must read.

Summary: Yucks
Review: Never read a crap like this book. How can some one destroy a glorious piece of plot. And make it into a unimaginable stupid mess. And the charecterisation ??? Less one speaks about them, the better. The charecter of Avery is the one of the most idiotic journalist I have ever seen. She seems to be always confused about her motive to be Carole. And I thought journalist are the most objective creature with clear analytical mind. Not once does she follow the golden rules called 5W's and 1 H. No wonder she is a failure. The ending is the biggest crap and the mystery makes you feel like a fool for 442 pages of the most inane story.
Before the writer writes anymore books (which I believe she must have , since this crap is quite old ) , she must learn something about charecter building. The charecter Avery is neither a good mother or even a good human bieng. She lies about her death causing her friend's grief. And runs to them on sligtest provocation. Even as Carole she is given a much humane treatment. She hits three year old kid who is not her own. She claims to be playing good mother. But is hardly there when the kid needs her . Her interaction with others is juvenile at the best.
But the worst charecters are the others. That includes the leading man Tate. They are under-developed and seem to be waiting for the pearls of wisdom to be dispensed out of the mouth of Avery. This is not a romance novel . For mystery novel, it is poor attempt at one. What fun is mystery if the pages contain no suspense and the readers get bored. If nail raking on breast in sex is erotic, well this book is erotic. Beside that the whole book reeks of stupidity. Sorry but best avoidable.

Summary: Her BEST Novel...
Review: None of Brown's other books have interested me than Mirror Image. The concept iself intriqued me:

A young reporter, Avery Daniels, is given the story of a life time: an undercover report that would make her career.

It begins with a crash---

Two women who have never met--one will die in order for the other to truly live.

It results in a newly constructed face of Avery as Carole Rutledge, the wife of a young, up and coming politcian, Tate Rutledge.

But as Avery learns her new life, she discovers and tries to unravel the assasination plot against Tate. As her process of assimliation in the poltical life, she begins to fall in love with Tate and his daughter, Mandy. But she also learns the horrible person that was Carole and the damage that rages on with in the Rutledge clan.....................

You'll have to read it to find out how it all ends!!! You WILL NOT be left disappointed...

Well...I Loved it!!! I couldn't put it down. I read it one sitting. I've read my share of romance novels, and Mirror Image is in the top of my list. I've leafed through other novels by Brown, but they just never got my attention, until MI. It's an amazing book.

The characters are so raw, espeically that of Tate and his family. Tate doesn't want to feel anything for his "wife," but he can't resist; his emotions go from complete love to feral anger.

You can feel the anger and pain as if they were real people. Brown paints them as realalistic people and she doesn't hold anything back. Her descriptions, language, everyting is vivid, real, raw and emotional. It is as if you are there; you can't help but be moved.

I was surprised that the mystery part was pretty well developed. Granted, some things were obvious, but there is a shocker that she doesn't give away. She does a pretty good job as a whole package; I was surprised. I never expected to like it, but I did. It's the kind of book I'll read over and over and never tire of.

Summary: Sandra's best!
Review: Okay, maybe this will be fixed soon, but how did all the Op-Center reviews get mixed in this one? Sandra Brown & Tom Clancy? Hopefully soon nobody knows what I'm talking about.

Summary: What a Book!
Review: Sandra Brown amazes me with her imagination and her ability to come up with such fantastic stories. Avery's commitment to help Tate and let everyone believe the real Avery is dead gives enormous strength to Avery's character. Finding out who the murderers are is one shock after another. Definitely recommended!
