Summary: I tried...I really tried!
Review: ...To like this story. At the conclusion, I could only reflect on the multitude of "near-misses"!!! Just when it appeared to approach an area of depth and meaning, the author backed away.

The characters were too back/forth then off/on for me. And Tatiana's last, selfish scheme of disappearance did me in. Oh my goodness -- the typos were noticeably distracting. I could have done a better job of editing.

Overall, it wasn't 'horrible'. It just didn't meet my expecations. If you're rained in or maybe stranded in the airport, it will provide a nice attention diversion.

Oh well, back to my reliable favorites: Judith Smith-Levin and Sandra Kitt.

Summary: Yuck!
Review: I agree with the others who said this romance was a dud. Lord, but did Tatiana ever get on my nerves! After she got her butt kicked for the umpteenth time, I was starting to cheer for the bad guys, even as slimy as they were. Most African-American women I know (including myself) are very strong and confident; we wouldn't be caught dead acting like this idiot wench! The naive virgin thing had to go as well. I was also a late bloomer but I sure knew what I was doing when the time came. In this day and age, what woman doesn't? There are so many books out there that one could be a virgin and and be superlative in bed the first time. Tatiana was spoiled, selfish, idiotic, immature and just too out there. Mathew had entirely too much baggage; there is not a woman alive who would have put up with his hard-as-nails, emotionless personality. Life is just too short to beg a man like this to be a friend, let alone a lover or a husband. The terrible spelling errors, grammar and typos were extremely distracting. Ms. Valyan had two editors but I could have done a much better job by myself. In fact, I found myself correcting the errors when I was bored with the plot. Don't buy this book!! It isn't worth the time, energy or money. I gave it one star only because I couldn't rate it in the negative digits. Sandra Kitt, where are you?

Summary: greatly pleased
Review: I read this book. I was determined that my hard earned money would not go to waste, but it was a trial.

From the onset, I realized that this was not a greatly developed story. Neither character was very endearing. There relationship was so on again off again, and the characters of Mathew and Tatiana, so wishy washy it left me wanting something, anything!

I love reading interracial romance books, but this particular book leaves a lot to be desired. The story is chocked-filled with more holes than a slice of swiss cheese. And there were so many typos, I could have done a better job of editing.

I tried to see through to the good part, but it just wasn't there. However, it kept going and going just like that bunny commercial, and it wouldn't stop. Leave this one on the shelf.

Summary: A ten star interracial romance novel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: Now, I am really surprised that no one has reviewed this book yet. This is one of the best interracial novels out to date. I am really picky with my interracial romance novels and this one was right on the money. It had passion, romance, action, and suspense.
One thing I loved about this novel was the fact that the woman, Tatiana, chased after the man, Matthew, who felt like it would be best if they didn't get involve b/c he had a lot of problems he needed to solve. A second thing I loved was the fact that they became friends before they became lovers. You could tell that they wanted each other, the sexual tension was always there, but they got to know each other first and that was great. A Third thing I loved about this novel was the passion. This was truly a romance novel, no question about it! Heck, I just loved the whole book!
If you are a true fan of interraical romance then you need to read this novel! Your collection won't be complete without it! Plus, the author, a black woman who loves and is married to a white man, knows what she is writing about. Who better to write a interraical romance novel than a person who deals with it first hand. To the author, you go girl! I can't wait to read more of your work.
So, in other words, READ THIS BOOK!

Summary: Sex, Murder, and Romance
Review: Tatiana and Mathew in this book is just wonderful. She's a upscale black woman, and he is a white male climbing the corporate ladder. He has issues from his past and thinks no one loves him. Tatiana is attracted to Mathew from their second or third meeting not the first or she tells herself. They becomes friends and than fall in love but instead of the man running after the woman its the woman running after the man. What a great read buy this one it is a keeper. What with romance, sex and murder you will be glued to your books.
