Rating: Summary: JB is an excellent storyteller! Review: Basically, if you like historicals at all, you really need to read this book! JB can make feelings jump off the page; she can make you feel love, laughter, disgust, sadness, etc. Starting out this book I was disgusted with the plot & thought our heroine (Chastity) was stupid; then I was intrigued by the plot & loved our hero (Cynric); I was disgusted with various characters, highly respected our heroine's resolve & felt awful for her, fell in love with secondary characters, was riveted by the plot, wanted to BE part of the secondary characters, laughed out loud at various scenes & now can't wait to read the next one! Do not be fooled into thinking this is a light read, at places it was actually very dark & the plot was extremely involved. But JB did a magnificent job of rolling treachery, love, laughter, & intrigue all into one great novel. There is a series of these novels on the Mallorens & I can't wait to get the next one. I only wish that Rothgar's (Cynric's brother) story were next! He is most definitely intriguing...

Rating: Summary: Courageous woman finds her equal Review: Chastity, after being ruined by her father, is bound to see her sister marry the man she loves. Enter Lord Cyn, who sees through her masquarade and still wants to help. A GREAT READ
Rating: Summary: An unbelievable drama Review: Courtesy of A Romance ReviewMy Lady Notorious unfolds and discloses every reason and incidents that happened between the Wares, Vernhams and Mallorens, then moves forward with dangerous intervals with humour and pain blended into the plots. The last part of the story turns dramatic when Rothgar helps in restoring Chastity's reputation in society. An unbelievable drama that surely makes you look forward to reading Tempting Fortune, the next in line to the Malloren series which will be reissued in December 2002.
Rating: Summary: Good Review: I had read book 2 in the collection first and just had to know what went on so I went back. I am glad I did. Can't wait to read more of this family
Rating: Summary: Great beginning to the Malloren series! Review: I really enjoy the works of Jo Beverley. I enjoyed the rouges series and feel this group will be super as well. Cyn and Chasity (Charles - as he meets her while she is pretending to be a young man) really have great chemistry. Cyn immediately realizes she is posing as a man but feels in his gut that she is terrified and needs his help. He also believes that she will not trust him if he unmasks her - so for at least a third of the book they interact both as males - and some of the scenes are quite amusing. The plot is a complicated one as the background of Chasity's father and his brutal ways of dealing with his daughters is reveled - and the protection of the highly regarded Malloren family will be the only thing that will perhaps save Chasity from scandal and ruin. I highly recommend this book!!
Rating: Summary: Good Review: I was so happy to see this novel being reprinted! Since discovering the Malloren story a few years ago, and reading all of the novels I could find, I couldn't wait to read the story of Cyn and Chastity. My Lady Notorious was everything I had anticipated. It has a perfect mix of adventure, sensuality and intrigue that holds the readers attention and makes putting the novel down an extremely difficult task. Once again, Jo Beverly transports her readers beyond expectations and settles them within the fascinating realm of lords, ladies and the unspoken adventures they have. I guarantee, if you enjoyed any of Beverly's Malloren novels, you will love this addition to the collection. Well done once again Jo!

Rating: Summary: My Lady Notorious notably featured in Amazon's bestsellers. Review: I'm delighted by the way My Lady Notorious has been the #1 Regency and Georgian Historical bestseller here for many months. It is also high in the English Historicals bestsellers. Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Villians Review: In this book, Beverly introduces us to the Mallorens (the first of five in the series), a family tightly controlled by the older brother, Rothgar. Cyn, the youngest in the family who has a twin sister Elf, is always on an adventure much to his older brother's chagrin. Chastity Ware is the highwayman (or more correctly the highwaywoman) who draws him deep into a web of deceit, pain and betrayal after taking him hostage. Her reasons for breaking the law are extremely noble however her reputation isn't. In the end, it will be her family who must face the charges for not being strong enough to protect her and Cyn who makes her realize she's worth much more than what other people think. The end of this book has a gripping scene worthy of how Agathe Christie would reveal her villians in the end of her books. I liked that everything came together in an emotionaly taut scene leaving no character unscathed. It was brilliant. However, the book does drag in parts and gets bogged down a bit more than I liked. Overall, this book is worth reading and definitely peeks your interest in the rest of the Mallorens.
