Summary: synopsis
Review: Choosing a new jam for her homemade muffins was as progressive as B.J. Clark got. As manager of a small old-fashioned inn, she refused to let new owner Taylor Reynolds modernize the place! She'd just have to show this jet setter how true love and a tender touch made things cozier.

Summary: Just the Book I Needed!
Review: For many years I heard the name Nora Roberts touted on romance boards but never read any of her books. Then for some reason I began collecting them and one winter's weekend picked up Born in Fire and the rest is history. Now having read over 60 of Nora's romance and romantic suspense books, I find myself picking up one of them when I'm not quite sure what to read. I also know that they provide me with a good comfort read and something which will make me smile at the end. And as I tried to find a book that interested me after Thanksgiving weekend, I chose to read From This Day hoping it was the sure thing. And as always a Nora Roberts book came to my reading rescue.

The age old story of girl and boy, in this case a man and woman meet when a young woman is the manager of an old inn which has just been acquired by the man. While they spar with one another neither of them can complain that they aren't physically attracted to one another. And then as time goes on the man wears the woman down to spend more time with him while the woman weaves a spell of love and as promised in a romance novel, there is a wonderful happily ever after ending.

I did enjoy this early romance novel by Nora Roberts published as part of the Language of Love series during the 1980s. If you can find this title I suggest you read it and see how the queen of romances can enrapture you with her stories from the first page as she does to me time and again.

Summary: From this day
Review: I like other readers discovered Nora Robert books, I have collected just about everything she has published with various publishing houses. I don't buy her JDRobb books. But I do suspect sometimes Authors give their authorization to different publishing houses, change the jacket and intro to books already published and read by many of Nora Roberts readers. Am I nuts. I still enjoy some of her new stuff however. But I have to admit, I really try to outline what of her I read so I don't run into a repeat. This comment is just for thought. Thanks.

Summary: Even Nora Roberts Can Have A Bad Day...........
Review: I love Nora Roberts, but this book asked for too much suspension of belief. The young and lovely B.J. Clark is the manager of a historic inn in New England. The new owner, Taylor Reynolds, comes in with plans for renovation. Taylor and B.J. spend the entire book arguing, since B.J. is resistant to any change whatsoever in her beloved inn. Taylor is surely the most benevolent boss ever, since he tolerates B.J.'s attitude and doesn't suggest she seek alternate employment. After spending 200 pages arguing bitterly, they decide to get married. Good luck, you two.....
Excerpt from inside the book:
"When handsome new owner Taylor Reynolds brought a pocketful of renovation plans for B.J.'s beloved inn and a blueprint for her seduction, the course of true love did not look smooth!"

Summary: NOT QUITE
Review: I was disappointed in this story, though I read it to the end. Too unbelievable and far-fetched. I recommend it to Nora fans, though because it is worth the read.

Summary: Storyline
Review: Like the lovely Vermont inn she managed, B. J. Clark was charming and old-fashioned. And she had no intention of allowing the new owner, hotel tycoon Taylor Reynolds, to modernize her beloved inn and destroy its uniqueness. Taylor lived a fast-paced life of high-tech surroundings and sleek, sophisticated women. But his fascination with this innocent enchantress made him long to live in B.J.'s arms from this day until forever.

#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts will captivate readers with this enchanting classic romance.
