Rating: Summary: What a great Anthology Review: All of the authors in this anthology are auto-buys for me. Every story is fantastic. He sees you when you're sleeping by Lori Foster, introduces us to neighbors Booker Dean and Frances Kennedy. Booker is now free to pursue Frannie and boy does he. Lori Foster delivers the sizzle, along with strong ties to friends and family. In All she wants for Christmas by Janelle Denison, teacher Faith Roberts offers Dr. Matthew Carlton on night of passion. But Matt wants more. Janelle Denison story delivers the heat along with the romance. Susan Donovan's Turning up the Heat we meet Valerie Matthews, she wants to indulge in a fantasy with a stranger. Can Earl the furnace repairman fix her problem? Susan Donovan's characters are witty, full of sass and steam. Baby its cold outside by Donna Kaufman has Suzanna York reuniting with lost love Jace Morgan. Can they put aside their problems and start over? This story starts with the heat and doesn't let up. A blue Christmas by Alison Kent has Jessie Buchanan looking for the one she left behind, Thomas "Blue" Miller. No one has been able to make her burn like Blue. Ms. Kent delivers a very erotic tale of love lost and found. The Nutcracker Sweet by Nancy Warren has co-workers Tara Ellison and Daniel Jarvis always at each other throats. Until Tara issues a dare to Daniel. This dare leads to a night of passion that neither can get out of their minds. Nancy Warren story has her blend of humor and sizzle. This anthology is a keeper.
Rating: Summary: HOT Review: Great anthology! All the writers are tops when it comes to steamy romance, but the stand out novella in my opinion is Susan Donovan's.
Rating: Summary: Heartwarming? no.. Review: I bought this book thinking it was going to be sweet and something to bring a smile to my lips during the Christmas holidays. Unfortunately, all I found was filthy and obscene sex. At first I thought it was only the author, but after flipping through the next stories, I found that it was all of them. Unless you like reading lewd stories filled with sex and nothing romantic about them, I suggest you skip this one and don't waste your time on it.
Rating: Summary: Super storyline, Review: I enjoyed this book a lot and think the writers did a super job. I love romance novels and this book gave me a lot of what i read this genre for!
Rating: Summary: Looking for heartwarming Christmas? Forget this book Review: I love romantic Christmas stories. I look forward to the Christmas anthologies published each year and save my favorites. This one is going in the garbage. These stories are soft porn wrapped up in a flimsy Christmas ribbon. Don't get me wrong, I love a good, sexy story as much as anyone. But there's sexy and then there's just plain sex with no characterization, no real story line and no real emotion. I read one story, and since I wasn't familiar with the author thought it might just be hers. I quickly flipped through two others and realized they were all the same--a thin Christmas premise to justify being part of the anthology and then raunchy sex scenes. I didn't find it sexy or romantic, just trashy. This book reminded me of the "personal stories" in the old Playgirl magazine we read in college. The first one was fun, but by the second of third one, you were bored. Don't waste your money!!!
Rating: Summary: Looking for heartwarming Christmas? Forget this book Review: I'm not big on anthologies (they're usually so uneven) but this one is pretty good. I'll be honest, I really only bought it for Susan Donovan (one of my faves) and Janelle Denison (her stuff is so hot!), but wound up enjoying (to one degree or another) all but one of these stories. First up is the ubiquitous Lori Foster. I'm not a big fan of her full-length novels, but I've enjoyed several of her short stories, this one is no exception. It's the story of neighbors who become friends all the while becoming more and more attracted to one another. And when Booker's girlfriend essentially dumps him by hitting on his brother, he's now free to pursue his long suppressed attraction to Frannie. Cute and sweet. 4 stars Janelle Denison's entry brings to mind Cinderella or Pretty Woman (without the hooker). Elementary school teacher Faith decides to come on to pediatric surgeon (and reputed playboy) Matthew and suggests a steamy one-night stand. Matthew has pursued her for months without success, but now he'll take full advantage of her request. She's been burned by his type before - a rich professional from a socially prominent family - so she's got her eyes wide open this time. But can Matthew convince her that he's not like her ex and that he wants more than just one night? He sure convinced me! 4 stars Susan Donovan's contribution is by far the most inventive of the bunch. At first I was a bit uneasy until it occurred to me what was probably going on (I won't spoil it by telling!). Poor Valerie is stood up on Christmas Eve, in her sexy new dress and shoes, the dinner she prepared getting cold - along with herself! Her furnace has gone on the fritz and she's just waiting for the furnace repairman. What a pathetic way to spend Christmas Eve! But when repairman Earl shows up, her self-pity is put on ice while the heat definitely turns up! Funny, sexy with a twist! 4 ½ stars Donna Kauffman and Alison Kent both do the high school sweethearts who reunite after ten years very differently. Ms Kauffman's story is more emotional and sweet but a little too angst-filled. Suzanna is filled with guilt and remorse for dumping Jace just months after graduation after promising to stay close. When they meet again, will Jace still care? This story suffered from a little too much history and background and not enough of the here and now, though the heat and longing between the couple was palpable. 3 ½ stars I did not care for Ms Kent's story. I found this couple lacking any real emotional connection (especially her) and I found their sexual relationship on the coarse side. Blue was sexy, stoic and likable (if a little bitter) and deserved better than the selfish Jessie. Her whole reason for coming back is based on sex and how it's only ever been good with Blue. I didn't feel much love, affection or mutual respect between these two characters. I'd never read anything by this author before nor will this story induce me to do so. 2 ½ stars Nancy Warren's story of office co-workers who constantly butt heads and who wind up Secret Santa partners was really fun, sexy and enjoyable. I was deliciously impressed with Tara's creative boldness when she dares nemesis Daniel (whom she overheard saying she needed to "get laid") to be the man for the job! Some really steamy love scenes and hot chemistry. Ms Warren is a new author for me and a pleasant discovery. 4 ½ *'s.

Rating: Summary: Erotic and sizzling, but with some loose ends Review: Jingle Bell Rock is an erotic anthology with some rather exquisite, albeit short, novellas featuring today's popular romance novelists. The anthology contains all of the sensual ingredients that make erotic stories memorable. However, there are some loose ends. For instance, story development and characterization are notably missing. I understand that it is difficult to do the same with a fifty-page long story, but a good writer is able to convey a good story and compelling characters nonetheless. The Christmas angle is a mere afterthought -- I got the impression that the authors threw in the holiday backdrop for good measure. Having said that, the erotica in this book is excellent. Lori Foster's "He Sees You When You're Sleeping" and Janelle Denison's "All She Wants for Christmas" are my favorites. Nancy Warren's "The Nutcracker Sweet" adds a sliver of humor to the anthology. The aforementioned stories are the better structured ones in this book. All in all, despite the loose ends, Jingle Bell Rock is an essential guidebook to great sex ideas to do during the holidays (I know I'll be trying a few of those scenarios!). It's not up to the earlier bad boy books' par, but an entertaining read for the holidays nevertheless.
Rating: Summary: Six Christmas naughty but nice Christmas stories Review: Reviewing anthologies presents a challenge with so many stories in one compilation. JINGLE BELL ROCK, however, maintains an even pace among its six stories, resulting in a hot Christmas read that rocks! JINGLE BELL ROCK comes highly recommended. "He Sees You when You're Sleeping" by Lori Foster brings together best friends. ... With an outrageously amusing ending, "He Sees You when You're Sleeping" nicely showcases Foster's gift for combining humor and sensuality. "All She Wants for Christmas" by Janelle Denison combines a Christmas wish with daring ... A sexy, gentle tale of wishes coming true, Denison turns up the heat with flair! "Turning Up the Heat" by Susan Donovan ... displays a dazzling gift for adding zest to the holidays! "Baby, It's Cold Outside" by Donna Kauffman reunites high school sweethearts. ... Kauffman pens an endearing tale of passion and second chances. "A Blue Christmas" by Alison Kent also reunites high school sweethearts, though under different circumstances. ... A tale rich with emotional complexity, "A Blue Christmas" reveals an unexpected edge. "The Nutcracker Sweet" by Nancy Warren brings a whole new level of passion to a difficult office relationship. ... Warren proves that her talent with much longer works certainly extends to the short story genre!
Rating: Summary: HOT Review: This is a book of very steamy erotic stories which I very much enjoyed. They are short, but sweet and pack a lustful punch!! I enjoyed these stories very much and would recommend them to anyone looking to enjoy very well-written and entertaining love stories.
