Rating: Summary: WONDERFUL Review: Marty and her new husband are moving west, when disaster strikes. Marty is forced to marry a man she scarcely knows (Clark), who has just lost his wife. The deal is, he takes care of her, if she takes care of his baby daughter. The book tells about Marty's new life, and how she gets through it. In the end, Clark and she fall in love, a perfect ending. I absolutely loved this book. I read it last summer, and was sorry to put it down for good! I would definately reccommend it!!
Rating: Summary: The Original Christian Fiction Series! Book one Review: Marty is a young pioneer woman, recently widowed and pregnant with no place to live and no means to go home. Clark Davis asks her to be his wife of "convenience" since he needs a caretaker for his young daughter, Missie, and Marty needs food and shelter. Not at all interested, but desperately in need, she accepts. This first book explains the first 6-8 months of this strange marriage. Marty is determined to pull her weight and do her time until Spring when Clark has agreed to pay her way home. The book is wholesome, funny, suspense filled and holds the reader's interest from cover to cover. After watching a recent movie made from this book, I am reading the series for the third time and would still recommend it to others.
Rating: Summary: The best Christian series yet! Review: My aunt suprised me one day with the LOVE COMES SOFTLY series she had had for a couple years. I put off reading them for a couple years because I was only eight! I started the first book when I was 11 and just could not put it down! I read the whole series and it had a very big impact on me. I've read the first three books at least ten times each, never getting bored with them and the rest of the series at least three. Please consider these books. They are the bomb!
Rating: Summary: A totally excellent read Review: The book is excellent and the beginning of a wonderful series. I was given this book by a friend and realised that there was a complete series and was totally 'hooked' on the books. The storyline is wonderful and shows God in action in the everyday lives of the characters. The events and situations the characters find themselves in and the way God works in their lives was a real challenge to me. Would recommend other titles by Janette Oke too - a wonderful lady.
Rating: Summary: Thank you for your service Review: The book was in excellent shape and I gave it as a Christmas gift. However i would have liked to have kept it. If you have any more for that same price I would be interested in 2 more of them. Thank you. You are very prompt. Veda

Rating: Summary: This is the second half of a fantastic set of books! Review: The continuing story of the family of Clark and Marty is just as interesting as the first books were. Each book seems to target a special family or location within the extended family structure. This is a must read for Christian fiction! Recommended highly for children through adult level. You will not be disappointed!
Rating: Summary: Love Comes Softly Review: This book is not only interesting but inspirational and glorifies the one true living GOD-JESUS CHRIST!
Rating: Summary: A beautiful story of one family's joys and struggles Review: This is a wonderful story about family life at a time when people did not possess much material things but instead loved and cared for one another unconditionally. The story begins with Clark and Marty and goes on to include the lives of their children. What drew me to read and reread this series of books is the way it is written with so much love and understanding. There are many moral issues dealing with the Christian God and how the righteous man would behave. It is therefore also a book of learning. I would highly recommend this series. This is one of the few series of books that I would consider to be worth spending money on. I know that I will reread it many more times. Janette Oke is an excellent storyteller.
Rating: Summary: A heart-warming series about pain and love Review: This is one of the most wonderful series of books that I have ever read. It is something that we all can relate to. It seems as if you are right there with your characters. Once you pick it up you can put it down. Everyone can learn a lot from these books.
