Rating: Summary: I LOVED THIS BOOK!! Review: I had never read a romance novel before picking up "The Wedding". I was caught up in not only the romance but the history of the story. I found that it pulled at my heart as well as made me laugh. I read this book in January 1999 and have since read all of Ms. Garwood's books. When I get them I fly through them and cannot put them down. I recently read "Ransom" and am waiting for the next.
Rating: Summary: This is the best romance book I've ever read. Review: Julie Garwood uses a mixture of historical setting and timeless emotions in her portrayal of this "sweep me off my feet" love story. It is worth every minute!
Rating: Summary: It was most enchanting Review: I like most readers enjoy a good romance, but this one made me laugh and cry at the same time. Ms Garwood is such a delight to read, and I usually don't put the book down until I am finished. I enjoyed both "The Bride" and "The Wedding". As well as all of Ms Garwoods books that I can't wait for the next. While,I wait I reread the ones I have. Thank you so very much for sharing your talent of writing with me and everyone else.
Rating: Summary: Great, great book. Review: I first read this book two years ago and have since read every Garwood book in print. I fell in love with the characters and they are unforgable to me. I couldn't put this book down. It had me laughing out loud on minute, weeping the next, and cheering in the end. I've lost count of the times I've read this beautiful novel. Julie, you are the best!
Rating: Summary: Great sequel to The Bride! Review: I simply loved The Wedding! When I found out about it from The Bride I rushed over to the bookstore and bought it. Ms.Garwood has a wonderful talent for writing and I want to see another book to be a trilogy. Even though The Wedding is good, it is forgettable. The plot was surprisingly like The Bride but I enjoyed it just the same.
Rating: Summary: It was a wonderful beginning, but... Review: I am a HUGE fan of Julie Garwood's and I was very excited when this book first came out, but, after reading it, I was a bit disappointed. Though the beginning was wonderful, the plot and the dialog after the first 3 or 4 chapters felt rushed and some scenes I felt needed elaboration. I got the sense that she was just churning out another story for the masses without putting as much soul into it as she has with many of her other novels.
Rating: Summary: lady brenna is one lucky lady Review: but at the hands of a man bigger than life is it any wonder she cant see it.she is sent to marry one man but is kidnapped and marries another. conner is tall, dark and handsome.and he insists that she give him a son then she can go home.but he falls in love with her and she isnt going anywhere.
Rating: Summary: GREAT, I LOVE 'THE BRIDE AND THE WEDDING', I WANT MORE. Review: BOTH 'THE BRIDE AND THE WEDDING' WERE DEFINITELY PAGE TURNERS THAT I COULD NOT PUT DOWN AND LEFT ME HUNGRY FOR MORE. DOES MS GARWOOD HAVE ANY PLANS TO WRITE MORE ABOUT THE KINCAIDS?? AND THE MCALLISTERS???
Rating: Summary: TRULY A HEARTWARMINGM, FUNNY STORY!! Review: I found myself laughing out loud while reading this book. I found Brenna to be fresh, charming, and witty. The way she handled Connor was priceless. This is certainly a favorite, I can't wait to read it again. Try it, you'll love it!
Rating: Summary: It's the sort of dumb sweet romance warms my heart. :) Review: It's predictable, it's a tat shallow but it's also entertaining, witty and damn sweet a book to read. Young, beautiful, intelligent, gutsy heroine(the endearing list goes on); Strong, handsome, capable, stubborn hero(the same endearing list goes on). Their tickling relationship, wonderful people around them who worships the heroine because she is just so wonderful, and proper vengeance to those hateful, worthless enemies ... a sure win formula with most of us isn't it? :) Just too good to be true. sigh .
