Summary: How did it get published?
Review: I love Catherine Coulter books. I always have. Until I read this book. I wanted to throw it in the fireplace when I read parts like where Graelim is sleeping with a servant, rapes his wife, yells at her when she miscarries his baby (she dosen't even know she was pregnant- She is tring to please him), then accuses her of adultery, then is mad when she finally leaves him!

If I had known how bad this book was I never, ever, whould have bought it!!

Summary: I caught myself gasping from page to page
Review: I loved this book. Both Roland and Meredyth were equally strong. Having had an arranged marriage would be difficult, even if the arranged marriage partner was not who they were suppose to be. The tearing of each other's hearts that these two display held my attention. I read this in a day.

Summary: I didn't like the hero.
Review: I read Fire Song and was disappointed with it. Although the heroine, Kassia, was very likeable and appealing, I just couldn't take to her warrior husband. Graelim was rude, cruel, unfaithful and believed everyone else in England except his wife. If I was Kassia, I would've left him before the sixth chapter.

When I was half way through the book, I flicked to the end to see what happened. This is the death knell of any book. Sorry, Ms Coulter, cruel men turn me off. Please go back to your earlier style, the Sherbrooke trilogy was your best.

Summary: THIS BOOK IS GREAT!! :)
Review: I read this book a couple of years ago for the first time and i can tell you that i've read it about 10 times since! this book is the BEST that Ms.Coutler has ever written. The plot is full of surprises and excitement. The best thing about this book is that it gives you different feelings for the characters. Sometimes you will love Graelam de Moreton and sometimes you will hate him. Catherine Coulter had written some great books, but this is THE BEST!! I will always keep my copy!

Summary: Wonderful story of growth and love.
Review: I read this book in order, first reading "Chandra" in which the hero, Graelem, is introduced. I did not like him in "Chandra," but grew more fond of him in "Fire Song." I liked Kassia as the heroine--she is pliable yet strong, and eventually grows more confident in her ability to function both as woman and as the wife of a difficult but worthwhile husband. The rest of this four-book series is equally enjoyable, especially "Secret Song."

Summary: This was a great book!
Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. Once you start reading it you cannot put it down. The characters were both strong-willed. Kassia was petite and I loved how she stood up to her large warrior of a husband. He abused her mentally, but she would fight back. But, deep down Graelam had a kind heart and you know he always cared for Kassia. It is a little disturbing how man can be such pigs when it comes to their sexual needs, but I guess back then it was understood that the lord of the castle slept with their servents. This was a great book.. I am reading it again.

Summary: I'm a big Coulter fan, but...
Review: I really hate novels where there's some nasty person who has everybody convinced she's a helpless little victim and thereby makes trouble for the heroine. I really hate novels where the hero RAPES the heroine! I REALLY hate novels where the heroine falls in love with a so-called hero who's being high-handed, brutal, and unfaithful to her. What kind of idiot does that make her? If you agree with me that Patient Griselda should have stuck a knife in her husband's wizend little heart, then you probably won't like this book either. Apologies to Catherine, but I like her later books a lot better.

Summary: Terrible book
Review: I really love Catherine Coulter's books, but this one was too much. I thought it was disgusting that the hero was nothing more than a rapist. I realize that these types of things were commonplace in that era. However, romance novels are meant to be about fantasy. The 'Hero' was more like a nightmare. Also, it was disgusting that the main female character walks in on the hero having sex with another woman! I cannot condone such a brutal man being made into a 'Hero'. I usually keep books I buy to read again at a later date. With this book, I made myself finish it, and right away got rid of it. I'll never read this book again. I really disliked the main female character. I think this is because she put up with every thing the 'hero' did to her. By the end of the book I felt no sympathy for her, I hated her as much as I did him. I have to say that this is the worse book I have EVER read.

Summary: Fire Song - 5 stars page turner
Review: I really love this book. Graelam de Moreton is a very ... rogue and Kassia is so cute and fragile. As I read it, I now and then secretly sent my encoragement to help Kassia prove herself innocent from betrayal and deceit and I felt relieved when the plot straightens and Lord Graelam eventually relizes that he loves Kassia and his love for her is so strong that he cares not whether she is a liar or not. This story has many exciting twists and turns to keep you turning the pages. Fire Song also introduces Dienwald de Fortenberry who will appear as the main character in the next book 'Earth Song'. I would highly recommend this book to all of you who are strong fans of historical romance.
