Summary: Awesome!
Review: This book was so good. I really didn't think that I would like the romance between Arryn and Kyra, but as it developed, I fell in love with their relationship. The story itself had alittle of everything you could want. Awesome book!

Summary: My first Shannon Drake book, but not my last!
Review: This is the first work I have read by Shannon Drake, but I will be buyig the other books in the series. This book did have a lot of history, but it only aided in making this such a good book. Normally I'm not a fan of rape in a book, but you feel so bad for Arryn, that you understand his intentions. I enjoyed everything about this book. The only thing I can think of that annoyed me is that Kyra had red blond hair.. the woman on the cover has black hair..? .. Did anyone else notice that! Oops! I will be buying the other books in the series, as soon as I find out what they are! There was nothing wrong with this book. It was entertaining, it made me feel emotion, I was rooting for the characters, even Jay and Katherine. She did an excellent job writing this novel. I will be sending it to my mother to read... I reccomend you read it as well..

Summary: Shannon Drake does it again!!!
Review: This was my fourth or fifth Shannon Drake/ Heather Graham book. She is a master story-teller, and I end up loving all of her books, with the exception of Princess of Fire. This particular book is one of my favorites. She balances love and war out wonderfully, so that there isn't too much of one or the other. Her historical details are phenomenal, it's unbelievable how informative her books are! These are romance novels that are not just romance novels.

Summary: An Excellant Read
Review: This was the first Shannon Drake novel that I have read cover to cover and I was emensly pleased. My favorite romances are the ones set in the medival era with both the bride and the groom being forced into a marriage of convience niether of them wants. I believe it adds spice to the story and makes the ending all the more romantic when the hero and heroine finally admit their love. However, though I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I was a little annoyed in some asspects. For one, it resembles its preceeder, Come the Morning, too much. Basically, both novels are about two pawns caught in a war of kings and power and through all the lies, betrayels, and danger, the two vowed foes fall in love. Though each pair of characters have different motivations and directives, the basic story is there. Even an entire line and action seemed to have been cut out of Come the Morning and stuck into this novel. Despite those little dissapointments, I loved this book to the extremes. Kyra was stubborn but not to the point that you wanted to strangle her. Arryn was charming and stubborn as well but Mrs. Drake balanced his personality out so well that you couldn't help but love him. It's definatly a story you can fall for and I would recommend it to anyone.

Summary: Horrible
Review: To say that this is not as good as Drake's other works would be a grave understatement. This read more like a history book than a novel of fiction. Drake spent pages explaining the time period and the country and no time explaining the romance. Basically Kyra is a strong willed woman who falls in love with her captor after he verbally abuses her and rapes her. The whole romance is based on physical yet emotionless attraction. If you're looking for a good romance novel DON"T READ THIS ONE. I would reccomend anything from Judith McNaught or even Drake's predecessor to this book: Come the Morning.

Summary: A pretty good read
Review: When I read Knight Triumphant, I knew that Shannon Drake/Heather Graham definitely had talent...that's what made me read this book. I was impressed with this novel as well. There were the initial conflict and somewhat dark undertones that keeps the reader engrossed in the story. I love the way she wove the rich history of the times into this story. I look forward to other novels by this author... I've scoured the used bookstores in my area and was lucky enough to find others.
