Rating: Summary: Sizzling and exciting!! Review: WOW!! What a hot book. Desire was fabulous. I couldn't put it down. I loved all the characters and the suspense. Lucian was one of the sexiest heroes I've read in a long time. And the tension between him and Brynn was riveting. Singed me all the way down to my toes.I'm so glad I didn't let the other reader's opinions put me off or I would have missed a great book. Desire seemed a lot more interesting and fresh to me than other romances. Nicole Jordan always makes her stories different, not like Stephanie Laurens, for example, who writes the same boring plot and characters over and over again. Desire is my favorite book of the Notorious series so far because it had more action and suspense than The Seduction and The Passion. I can't wait to see what Nicole Jordan does for Raven's story. The chapter for Ecstasy in the back of Desire looked great.
Rating: Summary: It let's you know right off the bat Review: You read the first page and you pretty much know whether it'll be your thing or not. It starts off intriguing--I mean, anyone would be curious as to why he's (the hero's) thinking what he is about his wife. You wonder if she's the heroine at first or if it was a previous wife of the hero's or a million other things because the book isn't eased into. The author makes you plunge. It works from the ending of the middle, out and while the conflict seemed flat at times, with the political scheme way too contrived and impractically plotted out, it managed to flow. It didn't seem to struggle and had a fairly good pace, not really lagging in too many places. The emotional conflict is based mainly on the gypsy curse which surrounds the heroine. It was original and not badly thought out. My biggest beef with this was that it got so sappy and predictable around the ending. Things like: "Oh, how ever will you forgive me?" and "I hope you can believe I really love you" were spouted off by the characters. I hate the latter. Most likely, if a writer scrolls that, it means they even think that they should have made it seem more substantial an ending, which it could have been. That the ending may have been cut a little too short and wrapped up to sloppily. The sensuality in this is a given, just look at the cover. Other than minor flaws, it's a decent read.
