Rating: Summary: Another Wonderful Knight--Jacinda! Review: This was book four in the Knight series that this author is currently penning. This is the story of the little sister Jacinda and it was a wonderful read.Jacinda is getting ready to run away from a marriage that she does not want. With plenty of planning she runs away to a coaching inn and this is where her plan falls apart. She is approached by a street child for a few pennies, instead of taking the offered coin he swipes her whole coin bag. Well, of course Jacinda will not sit for that so she gives chase. The end result is that she ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time and witnesses a gang fight. The end result is she finds herself face to face with Billy Blade! Billy is everything that she should stay away from but Jacinda sees something in this man after spending time with him at his home after the gang fight that she can't forget. Billy can't believe his eyes when he uncovers and angel in a garbage heap after a gang fight. He takes her back with him to his headquarters in order to get her away from the scene and in order to find out who she is and get her back to where she belongs. It's not long though after spending time with her that he finds himself wishing for things that he has no business wishing for. Before these two realize it their worlds come together. Billy Blade is really an Earl that ran away from an abusive family situation and then ended up on the streets of London. After being captured by Bow Street Billy is sent to Newgate, he is scheduled to hang but agrees to leave behind his past to accept his future and accept the title he turned his back on. This decision leads Billy right to Jacinda. Can these two different people find love with each other? This was a great story and I think it may be my favorite so far! Jacinda and Billy are caught between two worlds yet still find things in each other to love and like. Still there are issues that each carries with them that color any future relationship that either may have. The fact that Billy and Jacinda act true to their individual natures was wonderful to read, as was reading about them falling in love. This book is well worth picking up and investing time in reading. You won't be disappointed!
Rating: Summary: Loved It Review: This was my favorite in the series so far. Nice to read about a hero who dosen't treat the heroine like dirt for most of the book for a change. Billy was very masculine, but vulnerable as well. I thought Jacinda was a worthy heroine, she was realistic of the times without being a snob. It also had very good action scenes. I can't wait to read about Lizzy, I hope she finally gets Alec!
Rating: Summary: Another winner for Foley! Review: What a fantastic story! When I read Lord of Ice (my favorite), and read the scene where Jacinda sees Billy for the first time and is intrigued with him, I thought it would be great to pair these two up in a story of their own. I was thrilled to see that that's what Foley did. I had to wonder how she would ever get the Knight brothers to approve such a match between their little sister and a gangster, but she did it wonderfully. I couldn't put this book down, as with her others. Don't miss this book. If you're a Gaelen Foley fan, you won't be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Billy and Jacinda at last Review: You knew it was going to happen if you read Lord of Fire and Lord of Ice. Billy and Jacinda simply had to come together. But this isn't so much Jacinda's story as it is Billy's. We are given a glimpse into a tortured childhood and how the choices we make shape us into who we become today. To say more would be to give the book away. And to the reviewer who didn't like the "I've got your back" line. If you will research that, I believe you will find it comes from duels and seconds being at one's back.
