Summary: Not very realistic but okay for an afternoon read
Review: In my opinion, for Katherine to have taken such drastic measures to protect her niece, Allison, she trusted Jace Manning way to much. Personally, if this was reality, the moment Jace knocked on the door, I would have collected the baby and went running. But even being fiction, the quick first kiss, his moving in, the marriage, was a bit much. Then the fact that the grandparents are pretty much dropped from the story line was pretty disappointing. I was expecting a little more especially after their wayword son, Jace, was the center of the fiasco. Okay book, if you need something to do for an afternoon.

Summary: This book was 240 pages too long!
Review: It's a terrible thing when the few times I can be bothered to write a review is when a book is so bad that I have to warn other readers away from it.

The writing was stilted and so were the characters. Most romance novels are predictable, very few of them ever surprise me, but the situations that the writer created in this book were so contrived that too often I was rolling my eyes in total exasperation and sometimes in horror!

Jason was a twit, he actually said he enjoyed the torment that he caused Katherine when she thought he was cheating on her. The same Katherine, who did not think she should bring to the attention of her sister, what a (guy) her husband-to-be was when he made a couple, blatant passes at her.

This is the second book by this writer that I have read and it will be the last. I thought the first, Hidden Fires, was a fluke, we can't all be perfect all of the time, but this must be a trend.

Please stay away from this novel. Do not be mis-led by the wonderful title that makes you think you're in for a wonderful, deep, touching romance. This was so far from that, who ever came up with the title should be charged with false advertising.

Summary: One of the best from Sandra Brown
Review: Love Beyond Reason was one book I could not put down. I read it from beginning to end and when I finished I read it again. I love it!!! The characters came to life for me, there was plenty of steamy erotic moments and the book was loaded with romance. It was because of this book that I started buying anything with the name Sandra Brown on it. Top marks!!!

Summary: Very Sweet
Review: This was a good book, but typical. It wasn't one of Sandra's best, but it was still Sandra. Towards the end, it got surprisingly interesting and kept me going until the sweet ending.

Summary: Somewhat predictable but still a great story!
Review: While parts of the story were predictable, the story still captured and enthralled me. I could not put this one done!

Katherine's sister's husband (Peter Manning) is killed in a car accident along with his mistress. Later that same night she goes into labor only 7 months pregnant - gives birth to a baby girl but unfortunately dies due to complications. Just before she dies she pleads with Katherine to take care of her baby and not the let the Mannings raise her. As soon as she can leave the hospital, Katherine takes baby Allison and moves to Texas.

One day Jason Manning, Peter's brother, shows up at her door explaining that he is there to take Allison. As is somewhat expected, they felt an instant attraction to each other and start a relationship. Jason happens to be the black sheep of the Manning family and also wants to protect Allison from his parents.

There are many miscommunications and misunderstandings along the way. As with any good romance there are also many steamy moments along the way! A few unexpected events arise and kept me reading and wanting more until the very end.
