Rating: Summary: Maybe it's not for everybody . . . . Review: Okay, I'll be the holdout here; I just didn't really enjoy this book that much. It's the first Kristin Hannah book I've read, and will probably also be the last. Yes, all the characters are flawed and real, but the truth is that they have so many weaknesses and problems and issues that for about the first three quarters of the book they nearly drove me crazy! I just didn't LIKE these people much at all, and the story seemed very dark. The last quarter of the book becomes more hopeful and focused on possibility, but by then these folks may have worn you out. And even though I am a recipient of donated tissue myself, I found it pretty hard to empathize with some of Angel's fears.
Rating: Summary: Heartbreaking yet comforting Review: The love shown in this novel far surpasses anything I have read. The irony, tragedy, and loving gestures all combine to make the perfect love story. I was often in tears: some from sadness, and some from the emotion of the characters. I love this book!
Rating: Summary: The best a romance can be. Wonderfully moving! Review: This is a must read for an woman who has ever fallen in love. It's real and gutsy and moving. One of the best of the year
Rating: Summary: Excellent... Review: This is the third book by Kristen Hannah that I have read and it was wonderful. It was a tearjerker but it was also very romatic. The last chapter of the book was probably the most romatic ending I have ever read and I have read a ton of romance novels. These characters aren't perfect and I think that is why I could relate to them. I would highly recommend this novel as well as Angel Falls and On Mystic Lake by Ms. Hannah. I am going to try to find some of her older novels and I am sure that I won't be disappointed if the three I have read are any indication.
