Summary: What you do in the dark will soon come to light.
Review: This book takes you on a emotonal roller coaster. It has it's highs and lows. It's not the best dickey book I have read, though I did enjoy it towards the end. The characters are very realistic, especially the situation with Vincent, his ex-wife and child. I was happy that he still loved his child even though he was no longer married to the childs mother. A lot of men divorce the children also. I didn't care for Dana because she was very insecure and seem to take her jeolousy of Vincent love for his daughter out on a picture, the only memory he had. I thought this was very typical. I'm also glad he didn't leave me hanging with the situation with Naiomi and the one night stand. That goes to show "What you do in the dark will soon come to light", even if it's nine years later. Over-all I enjoyed the book and can't wait for the next one to be released. I am still Dickey's #1 fan.

Summary: Not As Good As His Others
Review: I have been a huge fan of Eric Jerome Dickey since his first books came out and I have bought, read, and enjoyed every single one of his books, but Liar's Game just did not have that magic that his other books had. I liked Liar's Game and I didn't have a hard time getting into the story, but the title made me think that there was going to be more to the story pertaining to lying to your lover. The other thing that I noticed was sorely missing was Eric Jerome Dickey's brilliant sense of humor. When I read Cheaters, I was literally laughing until it hurt. When I read Liar's Game, I smiled a few times, chuckled maybe once or twice, but this book did not strike me as being all that funny. If Eric was trying to write a more serious book, he accomplished that but if he was thinking that this book was as funny or funnier than Cheaters, he's sadly mistaken. With all of that said, I did enjoy this book and I still would recommend it to be read, but I would recommend reading his other books, especially Cheaters, first. Nevertheless, like a lot of the other reviewers, I'm a lifetime fan of Eric and I just hope that his next book is back up to the standard that Cheaters set.

Summary: Game of Emotions
Review: This is the second Dickey novel that I have read and it was not as good as the first. I got tired of the back and forth lies and games played by the key characters. There was no reality to the novel as far as I was concerned. I was looking for an adult fiction novel. Dickey is a great author, it is just not prevelent in this novel.

If you are interested in the lives of cheating rap producers,under-age illiterate rappers, obnoxious men and women of low self esteem, this book is for you. Otherwise pick another Dickey novel!

Summary: Funny but Touching Story
Review: first of all i have to say Mr EJD has done it again...all of his books are fantastic...i have read books that touched my heart but this one...so much emotions went through me that i couldnt put this book down...all the characters were interesting even juanita with her crazy ways lol...there are so many guys out there like vincent who do care about their kids and and are doing the best that they can in being in their lives. its really nice to read a book that not only focus on people trying to work out their relationships and clear out all those cobwebs in their closets but also on fathers who want to be in their children lives and want to do the right thing for them *S*

Summary: The need for honesty in the relationship game.
Review: Once again EJD has created a book that is realistic, funny, and heart-warming. The characters in this book are down to earth people with real life everyday problems. Vincent is a hardworking man who is looking for some true love in his life, but must also deal with a past that won't escape his memory. He is also a father who wants desperately to see his daughter, but must deal with his selfish, manipulative, control-freak ex-wife. Dana is a real estate agent who is trying to start her life over in a new environment. A native New Yorker who leaves NY behind to escape the bitter aftertaste of a love gone wrong. However, L.A's sunny days can not take away the cold and pain in her heart.

We also have the background characters like Gerri, who is Dana's friend and co-worker. A single mother of two, struggling to make ends meet, and to find someone special to share her life with. Womack is Vincent's best friend. They share a history that is filled with laughs, tears, and a brotherly love that is tried, tested, and true. Womack is a man who will learn that love is not enough to keep a marriage going, and he will have to rededicate himself to the woman that he loves. Rosa Lee is Womack's wife. She is in need of something outside of work and family to fulfill her life. Just where exactly is she going to fulfill this need? Womack's father Harmonica gives the book some wisdom, and is the ever-present father figure to Womack and Vincent. He provides them with knowledge and wisdom that only age can bring. Then there is Naomi and Juanita the lesbian couple who lives next door to Vincent. Their on again, off again romance is definitely chaotic, and adds spice to the novel.

The plot begins to heat up when the lies that Dana and Vincent told in the beginning of their relationship start to unravel. Vincent and Dana will show the reader the need for honesty and respect in a relationship. They will also make you question just what are the boundaries in a new relationship? These two will take the reader on a whirlwind romance that at first seems to be moving too fast, too soon. Only with time do they get to test the limits of this so called love that they keep expressing for each other. Dana and Vincent will also learn what being a good friend is all about.

The Liar's Game is a page turner, that the reader will not be able to put down. The characters will make you laugh, and they will definitely make you angry! Most of all they will make you think, and show the reader the true value of respect and honesty in any relationship.

Summary: Liar's Game
Review: Well, he has done it again. Liar's Game is another exceptionally, well written book by one of my favorite authors, Eric Jerome Dickey. It follows the boy meet girl story line as most of his other novels. Of course, it is dashed with both the humor of Mr. Dickey's own personal style and realistic scenarios between both friends and lovers (sound familiar?). This is a must read. If you've read anything by Mr. Dickey, you know what to expect...leave the evening open, send the children to the baby sitter's house etc. because you will not be able to put the book down until it is finished. Each novel is speckled with characters that we have met before. Each novel is also as rich and deep as the previous.

Without giving a summary of the novel, I will simply say that you must read this one. It was a joy to read and allows a great escape from your immediate surroundings. It also made you think about and evaluate your own relationships with friends, family and partners.

Summary: Best Of All Times
Review: Eric Jerome Dickey really showed us that not telling the truth is a game. The main characters Dana and Vince had to play the game to keep their relationship in tact and to cover up the not so perfect side of them. The way he wrote was very informative and led you into every chapter, because you knew exactly where the character was coming from. Not only was he very descriptive but every chapter was a different viewpoint from another character. It was different and I like it. The summary explained the book to be all right but when you read it it's excellent!

Summary: THIS BOOK IS THE BOMB!!!
Review: All I can say is that EJD is a GREAT AUTHOR. I started reading his books because one of my friends told me to read "Cheaters" (whewwwww, that's another story); but anyways, that was the first one I read, and ever since, I've been hooked...I'll tell you, once you read at least ONE of his books, you'll be HOOKED!! Highly recommended!!!

Summary: Is truly what it is
Review: A good story of drama but to many dull points in the book. But the drama made-up for it.
