Summary: Good, but not one of Miller's best
Review: "Desire and Destiny" is a historical romance about the tangled love between a man whose grief over his pregnant wife's death is still fresh, and the daughter of the doctor blamed for the death. Miller's trademark passion is evident, and as always there are strong supporting characters. Although this book isn't up to the standard of "Angelfire" or "Caroline and the Raider," it is still intense and moving.

Summary: A long-time romance reader
Review: I think this may be the best of the many good books that Ms. Miller has written. The characters are compelling and very real, with lives that encompass the good and the bad. The hero's painful loss of his first wife (a fairly common romance theme) is told in a gripping manner - at the end, you are especially glad that he is happy again. A very engaging read from beginning to end!

Summary: One of my favorite LLMs!
Review: Maybe I'm just a sucker for the "enemies who fall in love" plotline, but I really adored this book. I love the tough, emotionally scarred hero who cannot help but fall for the spirited heroine who loves him despite having traditionally better options. That's a cliche, true, but there's a reason that cliches have become such - many people like them! Miller's loves scenes are erotic and tender, a potent combination that has hooked me on so many of her books. This one goes on my keeper shelf along with "Caroline and the Raider", "Banner O'Brien" and "Daniel's Bride". Read them all, you won't be disappointed.
