Summary: The ending need serious help.
Review: This book was wonderful until I got to the ending. The book kept me guessing on her true identiity from page one to the very last chapter. I also loved Ashton. He never gave up hope. He was always there for her. He is almost at the top of the list of my Woodiwiss heros. The ending seamed a little rushed. It was as if the author didn't quit know what to do, so she just ended it. It was to jumbled for my tastes. On the whole though, it was a wonderful romance/mystery.

Summary: A Classic. Kathleen does it again!
Review: This is a remarkable story of love & passion in the classic never to be duplicated style that is so typically Kathleeen Woodiwiss. I guarantee that it will be loved & never parted with. This is a must have, a must buy.

Summary: Characters that stay with you.
Review: This is one of my alltime favorites romance novels and probably in the top three of my favorites from Kathleen Woodiwiss. I loved both Lierin and Ashton, I loved the weaving storylines, the surprises at every turn, and for me, the action at the end was the perfect, exciting ending it should have been. It didn't feel rushed to me at all (as some reviewers have mentioned) and gave me exactly the ending I had hoped for.

Summary: Come Love a Stranger
Review: This is the first book I read that she wrote and seeing the other comment on hating the ending.

Kathleen has made this fav. book a series and has continued on with this family in 2 other books. The 2nd to be released in feb 2000.

I am so excited waiting for that book to come out in February. I have read every novel she has published so far.

If you love historical romance she's excellent

Summary: Romance and crime in one
Review: Well, I confess I had to read this book twice through, because I wasn't able to understand the crime plot for the first time. And after that it still seemed to me that I missed something. But I'm not surprised by that - I'm sure not the whole novel was translated into our language. It is common practice with Woodiwiss's books, unfortunately. That's way I decided to buy „The unrecognized love" (that is the title in Slovak) in English and via amazon.com! I like the story much, though sometimes it was a little bit unbelievable. But very good written - in the second part of the book I really didn't know whether the woman was Lierin or Lenora! It deserves 4 stars and attention of every Woodiwiss fan. Nice!

Summary: You'll love this book!
Review: When Ashton Wingate, much sought after plantation owner, is married, he believes it to be for life. Fate conspires against Ashton and his lovely wife Lierin though, as Lierin gets killed on their honeymoon. Three years later Ashton is still grieving after his beloved. On his way home one night, though, his driver hits a woman that looks strikingly like Lierin. Only one thing is lacking to this fairy-tale ending, though. The woman whom Ashton claims as his wife has lost her memory. She doesn't remember Ashton or their love for each other. Is she truly Ashton's wife or someone else's all together? You'll love this book. My copy is currently falling apart and dog-eared from the many times I have re-read it. Do yourself a favor and read this book.
