Summary: Funny
Review: Now, I much prefer Beverley's Mallory novels, but this one is not bad at all. Of course, Sax, and the rest of over the top characters, including his servants, his pets and his antagonists infuse the story with a strong nonsensical element, but that does not detract from the fun. And, of course, only Sax would dare order a magical statue with a nasty streak around. Recommended.

Summary: A LOT OF FUN
Review: Sax was a terrific hero. I wasn't too sure of his depth of character when he chose to wed by flipping a coin or from the fact that he lost track of an important sort of promise he made to the Dragon, but he redeems himself admirably by being attracted to his wife and not to his beautiful young sister-in-law like the cad, Sir Arthur. His quirks were made him fascinating. I didn't like that Meg was so determined to change him but she was still a likable woman filled with laughter.

The magic part made an interesting twist and helped to make the story fun to read. It's probably not for everyone but it was fine for me.

Summary: It was fantastic!
Review: The book had a great entourage of characters! Great read! Recommended to all!

Summary: If you're looking for a quick read of fluff.....
Review: The premise of this story, and the catalyst for what happens is the best part of the story. Be careful what you wish for, you might actually get it. I felt the story was predictable and the characters were rather shallow. I have never known anyone like our hero, who takes irresponsibility to new heights. Our heroine was rather insepid, and as is stated in another review, she steps in our hero's problems without knowing what the nature of the problem is first. Personally, I won't recommend bying this book...if you can borrow it from a friend, then maybe....

Summary: PERFECT!!!!
Review: This book is perfect. No other word. The characters are original, simply original. The mystery is a page turner. A must read.

Summary: Wonderful and captivating read!
Review: This book was such a good read. The characters are great. The story draws you in so much that it is hard to but the book down.

Summary: DELIGHTFUL !
Review: This is a wonderful read with truly intriguing characters (both human and non-human). We should all have a "SAX" in our lives, generous, humorous, sensual, and ever the champion of the less fortunate. Meg and Owain also provide much entertainment, we have to sincerely hope for books about Owain, Laura, and the very serious Jeremy. The story line is very straight forward but not terribly predictable. Beverley fans will love it.

Summary: Funny, Unusual, Sensual
Review: This was my first full-length Jo Beverly book and I loved it. It kept me up at night because it was too hard to put down. I have read hundreds of romances and this ranks up with the better ones. I am going to get more of her books. I loved the main characters and the secondary characters were well written.

Summary: I read this in one day!
Review: What a super book! I started it at breakfast, read it as often as I could during the day and finished it at midnight! Meg and Sax - what a great pair! The Romance was slow but tantalizing and sexy. The action was so fast paced I could hardly turn the pages fast enough! I really enjoyed this book - 3-dimensional characters that were sympathetically portrayed and the eccentric secondary characters were a perfect background. Bravo, Jo Beverley! I will check what else you've written. You're great!

Summary: Not my cup of tea
Review: While I found parts of the story here and there to be interesting
I didn't particularly enjoy the book. The plot wasn't developed
enough, nor were the characters in the book. And I found the
heroines repeated thoughts over whether the earl was mad to be
tiresome, also her guilty thoughts that she had somehow "forced"
the earl to marry her because of the sheelagh-ma-gig to be
ridiculous. He married her because he made quick decisions, she
didn't have any magic power over him. She should loosen up and
enjoy life and knock off the guilt trips.
