Summary: Interesting third book in a series.
Review: I am not an habitual reveiwer, in fact, it is my first and probably last time, but I felt compelled to comment because of the largely negative reviews given this book. Contrary to most, I really enjoyed it, for several reasons. How many times have we asked authors like Johanna Lindsey to do away with violence, rape, and the forcing of females. When authors comply, we give them miserable reviews, saying the book lacks substance! I feel that Ms. Lindsey has grown to a new level with this book. She retains the passion and tone of the other books, but expands on background information and many of the unanswered questions I had about life on Dalden's planet after the fist two books. She has found a way to resolve the "punishment" issue, at least making it less important, as it couldn't be suddenly "gotten rid of" while keeping the continuity of the 3 books. I also enjoyed the compromise reached at the end of the book by Dalden, leaving hope that there will be some changes in future treatment of women on his planet, and showing growth of his character. In contrast with most reviewers, I found Brittany's continued skepticism believable - I would be very reluctant to "believe" in aliens, even when wanting to, and would search for other explanations even while hoping it was true! Wouldn't you? Maybe it's time we decided what we REALLY want from an author, and when it is delivered, take the time to appreciate that some changes in style will follow, and adapt to these changes, instead of expecting one book to be a carbon copy of the last. I hope we see more of these worlds in the future, maybe with Jadelle Van'Yer's story, or that of another warrior. Thanks to the author for an interesting read, I appreciated it.

Review: No her best work in fact compared to the first two books in the series this one is pretty bad. While the story line is okay the passions and exprtise that Johanna Lindsey is known for are absent -- it is almost like she wrote this book in one afternoon.

Summary: Indifferent at best
Review: This is certainly not one of Johanna Lindsey's best works. My disappointment stems from the fact that this is the third in a series of spine-tinglingly great books and it just doesn't measure up at all. The storyline is very weak and doesn't contain Lindsey's normal twists and turns. I'd recommend reading this only if you are dying to find out what happens to Tedra's son.

Summary: Disappointing character development
Review: The third book in the "warrior" series was not all I thought it would be. I enjoy all of Lindsey's novels, and I do mean all of them. The plot is interesting, but for that reason the book doesn't let us get into the character's heads as much as previous works. The main male character, Dalden, is not developed as well as it could be. All we really see is that he is the son of Tedra, the brother of Shanelle, and is gorgeous. I was waiting for some more insight. But I am not completely down on this book, don't get me wrong. I enjoyed the way Lindsey described earth and it's inhabitants. I will always enjoy Johanna Lindsey. I just wished I would have borrowed this one, not bought it. The first two books leading to this should definitely be read before this one-"Warrior's Woman" and "Keeper of the Heart"-so the reader has an adequate background on Dalden and the other characters.

Summary: Heart of a Warrior
Review: I think that the novel Heart of a Warrior by JL was good. It may not be up to par with earlier novels (i.e. Malory series, etc), but I still enjoyed the book. Considering it's been out for awhile I am not going to bore you by restating what about half of you have already written: that the book was great and I suggest you read it. Instead I am going to comment on what other people have written. First off the person from Publishers Weekly does not even have the right to mock a novel when they were inept enough to not know that You Belong to Me is not one of the futuristic novels. Why say something if you obviously don't know anything about it? Wow. Also the person from 'Chicago IL' is deluded if they think that discos are a thing of the past. In parts of the US maybe, but in other parts of the world discos are still alive and well. I just visited Germany and went to several discos because that's what they call DANCE CLUBS. Did it ever occur to you that maybe in Hawaii dance clubs and discos are one and the same? Bloody hell. I think JL is a great writer and maybe it's been a bit hard for her to write as is her wont, but until you get out there and write novels that cause you to have billions of fans don't diss her because you can't do any better.

Summary: Better than the other novels of this family
Review: Heart of a Warrior is the best of the series I Personally couldn't stand the thought of a woman being punished that's why I didn't like the other ones. Okay so she does get punished but not severely and its great what happens afterward when I read a book I like to laugh and this one had me laughing hard. There wasn't much that I didn't like so it wasn't perfect for me but every one has their own opinions, the things was that she was 28 American and a virgin not that its impossible but highly unlikely and how did her family feel when she up and disappeared? huh? well Nothing is perfect but this one came close.

Review: Like many other reviewers I have read everything that Johanna Lindsey has written. When I first read what the plot of this book was I cringed. I was not thrilled with the other futuristic novel but it's a Lindsey so I had to read it. I was so disappointed, more than anything by the lack of billed-up in the book. Not to mention the inconsistancy. I mean, how could the heroin leave the planet and her family not even be mentioned. I wont stop reading her books because I do love all the others, but don't read this one as your fist Lindsey novel, try any one of her other books.

Summary: New Twist
Review: I really liked this book and have read it a second time. The combination of two different worlds and their cultures were intriguing. It gave a new twist on how to look out of the box. I loved Martha, the computer, and her great ideas and insights not to mention her humor. The love story between Dalden and Brittany I thought was enchanting. Another twist on how the man in this case gave more to the relationship than the woman. He was patient, kind and loving. I hope the Johanna Lindsey writes another book with this kind of content.

Summary: Is it just me?????
Review: I read a few of the other reviews first, just to see if I was the only one. I have been a BIG fan of JL for over 20 years, so I can't help but doubt that "Heart of a Warrior" was even written by her. I'd hate to think she has ghost writers, but it took me over two weeks to get through this newest novel, and it usually only takes me a few days. Way TOO much technical and background information, and the supercomputer, Martha, had more of a major role than Dalden and Brittany did. I also have been upset the last few years that her books come out in hardback first and won't go to paperback for a year. If the rest of you JL fans are getting tired of this and would like to read great stories with great passion and flow, check out a Teresa Medieres novel. I fear she will become my new favorite romance novelist.
