Rating: Summary: Getting Better and Better! Review: Jane Graves' third novel about the DeMarco Brothers lives up to expectations-with a bang! Her characters are increasingly fleshed out with each new book. What starts out as a light-hearted romp also makes some truthful statements about why people behave the way they do. The love scenes are explicit but rich in feeling. This book was hard to put down and hopefully the saga will be continued.
Rating: Summary: She keeps getting better and better! Review: Ms. Graves' book Flirting With Disaster is a great page turner, which thrills the heart and emotions each step of the way from Texas to Mexico and back again. The DeMarco brothers make you want to get in trouble just so they can find a way to help you out. The next book can only be icing on the cake.
Rating: Summary: A Definite Page Turner Review: On the same night he learns from the news that Lisa Merrick dies in the plane crash, Dave DeMarco receives a stunning phone call from the "dead girl" herself. Eleven years ago, Dave promised Lisa that whenever she needed help, all she got to do was call him. Now, Lisa is asking Dave to fullfil that promise. So, Dave drives seven hundred miles from Tolosa to Mexico, to save the woman he never forgets. Then soon, the rescue mission becomes a tempt to survive from people who wants to kill both of them. FLIRTING WITH DISASTER is the third book of DeMarco's family, which starts with I GOT YOU BABE (John's story) and WILD AT HEART (Alex's story), and it is definitely getting better. The story is packed with great suspense, action, and darn good-hot-and-sizzling romance, that includes a "hot and sexy way to enjoy tequila" scene. Secondary characters are also well written. Definitely one of my all time favorites. I can't wait to read the next book coming out next year, which will be about Sandy DeMarco, entitled LIGHT MY FIRE.
Rating: Summary: ATTENTION: All Romance Lovers Review: Romance, Action, Danger, Suspense....This book has it all! I LOVED it!!! This is my first book by author, Jane Graves, and it's going on the collector's shelf. Lisa and Dave are wonderful characters, who will captivate you from the start of the book, until the very last page. The secondary characters are great too! I want to tell all, but I'll let you find out for yourself. This is a must read for all you romance lovers. My only disappointment is that it ended! I wanted it to keep going.
Rating: Summary: A fast paced adventure. Review: Texas police officer Dave DeMarco and his brothers had been in a bar when news of a plane crash in Mexico came on the television. Dave was stunned to see the pilot was Lisa Morrison. Lisa had been a former high school bad girl. In fact, he felt guilty about something from those long ago days and had told Lisa that if she ever needed anything, call him! The news reported Lisa had died in the crash. Imagine Dave's surprise when Lisa called him that night from Mexico with a wild tale of drug smuggling, her plane being sabotaged, and everyone (including the local Mexican law) trying to kill her! Dave thought Lisa was delusional from the crash. But a promise was a promise, so he was off to Mexico. Turned out Lisa was completely sane and now everyone wants them BOTH dead. **** This one is a fast paced adventure with a lot of hot love scenes. It is spicier than hot tamales and packed full of danger and intrigue. Well written and with secondary characters that you can not help but care for. Author Jane Graves has another winner with one. ****
Rating: Summary: Flirting With Disaster Review: The first book I read by Jane Graves was I Got You Babe, I really enjoyed it, when Wild At Heart was released, needless to say I bought it immediately. Now after reading Flirting With Disaster, I've decided Jane Graves is a keeper! This book has everything, adventure, intrigue and some really scorching love scenes. I highly recommend it!
Rating: Summary: Great read Review: This is another wonderful read from author Jance Graves. It is a non-stop action book that has an unusual heroine teamed with her high-school flame...but she's the one who has the torch. I loved it. The DeMarcos are a great family.
Rating: Summary: Flirting With Disaster Review: This is the first book I have read of Jane Graves. I rate it highly. The book caught my attention in the first chapter and kept me interested to the end. I enjoyed the interaction of the family members, the hero and the heroine. I now want to read the other books in this series to hear their stories.
Rating: Summary: a strong romance inside an action-packed thriller Review: Tolosa, Texas police officer Dave DeMarco is stunned with the TV news that the girl he loved but did not date in high school Lisa Merrick died in a Mexican plane crash. While Dave privately mourns he is even more stunned when a distraught Lisa calls that night. She pleads with Dave to rescue her insisting the plane she piloted was sabotaged. Dave wants to ignore her pleas as he raises his daughter by himself. However, he immediately goes to Mexico where he finds an injured Lisa. She explains that the local clinic head Dr. Robert Douglas is selling illegal pharmaceuticals and tried to kill her and her missing passenger Dr. Adam Decker because they found his illegal stash of counterfeits. As Douglas' law enforcement supporters try to stop them, the duo manage to escape back to Texas. When they learn that Adam, thought dead, still lives, they race back to Mexico to rescue him even as their teenage love blossoms into something stronger. If they survive FLIRTING WITH DISASTER will Dave and Lisa act on these feelings? Fans of non stop, exciting action packed thriller with a strong romantic subplot will want to fly with FLIRTING WITH DISASTER. The story line is fast-paced as Lisa and Dave escape from Mexico twice. Lisa is a strong lead protagonist but though Dave promised to be there if she ever needed him, it still feels like a stretch to call a high school bud. Still the adventures are fun to follow and the lead couple is a delightful pair so that the audience receives a fast-paced tale that showcases Jane Graves' romantic suspense skills. Harriet Klausner
Rating: Summary: Jane Graves does it again--Excellent Review: When cop Dave DeMarco gets a panicked call from Lisa Merrick, a woman he hasn't seen in years, he drops everything and flies to her rescue in Mexico. His actions surprise himself as much as anyone. But Dave, a widower with a little girl to raise has a dark side no one suspects, and secrets long-suppressed that Lisa holds the key to. He can't ignore her plea for help. Lisa Merrick, working as a pilot for a humanitarian doctors' organization, has unwittingly uncovered a counterfeit drug ring. They sabotaged her plane and left her for dead, and she can't get out of Mexico without someone's help. The one person she believes might help her is the man who walked away from her after a steamy kiss in high school--the man who once told her to call if she ever needed anythig. The feelings between this unlikely couple are obvious from the beginning, but the things keeping them apart are compelling--not the least of which is that neither feels they deserve the other. But more pressing obstacles include ruthless men with guns, a corrupt police department, and a smooth villain who anticipates their every move and neatly sidesteps it. Jane Graves has done it again with FLIRTING WITH DISASTER, the third in her series about the DeMarco family of cops in Tolosa, Texas. With a fast pace and unexpected plot twists around every corner, Dave and Lisa's story kept me turning the pages with breathless anticipation. The action scenes had my stomach tied in knots, while the sensual scenes had my pulse pounding (and I read every word of them, too, rather than skimming as I do with many love scenes). While the light-hearted humor of the previous two installments is almost absent in this book, it's not missed at all. Taut suspense and deep emotion fill the pages, and after you read this book you'll never think about lime juice the same way.
