Summary: full of contradictions and it wanders
Review: There is supposedly some big conspiracy in the background of this story, but the details are never clear. The inconsistencies drove me crazy. For instance, in one place, a character's throat is cut with a machete but it takes her hours to bleed to death. Later, a character is poked in the wrist with an embroidery needle and is unconscious and near death from blood loss within moments. A thousand more instances like this. Also, lots of hinting and promising of hot kinky sex, but very little delivered. A big yawn.

Summary: I'm Sooo Confuuuused....
Review: There seems to be enormous potential in this book - a young novitiate kicked out of the convent and desperate to experience sensual joy; a life-hardened hero who may or may not be into kinky sex and a murderer into the bargain; a call-girl in hiding and a troubled hunk of man who happens to also be a priest. These elements could have blended into a fantastic erotic novel or a compelling mystery, but the combination of all these things produced, in my opinion, rather a muddle. Do they, don't they, will she, or has she already, nothing is ever really clarified and although the sexual tension is well developed, it never seems to be as resolved as it should be. The characters act rather irresponsibly, without their motivation being fully explored, and Ms. Forster's use of Catholicism throughout the story just muddies the waters. I believe that there is the possibility that Suzanne may be a first rate writer - and I am going to try another of her books - but this one certainly wouldn't rank as her masterpiece. Whatever point she was trying to make here never seems to be revealed. Sorry!

Summary: Extremely good, and I MEAN extremely good book
Review: This book was great and I will tell you how great it was. I have been on the Internet for 3+ years. The only time I was not on line in all that time is when I was in the hosital for surgery, etc. But I did not go on line at all on Monday and Tuesday of this week. I COULD NOT put the book down. The suspense was good, the characters were excellent, I really enjoyed the romance. In fact there were sort of 2 romances in this book. You would have to read it to know why I said sort of. Believe me, you willl not regret buying this book. I finished Husband, Lover, Stranger before I started Innocence. I found that book dragged some, but Innocence sold me on buying more of Suzanne Forester's Books. I still have Every Breath She Takes to read by her. That sounds like another winner. In fact, I am about to check the rating on it. Don't forget-------BUY INNOCENCE.

Summary: Horrible..
Review: This is my first book by Suzanne Forster and was excited to read it but I didn't enjoy the book at all. Firstly I loved the concept and the darkness of it but my main problems were: 1.) Very little "page time" with the main characters. 2.) The secondary love story took up half the book. I wanted to read more about the main characters, not them. 3.) Too wordy and introspective...there was very little dialogue in the book. Too much description. If a character asked a question, the other character answered it --one and half pages later! 4.)Webb was not developed enough! I couldn't get a sense of WHY he loved this woman...I couldn't understand why Mary Frances loved him???
5.) The priest and the hooker plot bored me to tears, not enough sizzle between them.

Basically I was lost in the book (and not in a good way). Confused was more like it. The Golden Needle thing was not believable.

Summary: 4 Words For This Book: Sexual Suspense, Mystery, Thriller.
Review: This is my first book by Suzanne Forster, and it was marvelous. The sexual suspense, the plot, was one of the greatest storylines, I've ever read. You won't be able to put this down. I've been reading romances for over 10 years, and I've never encountered a book as well written as this one. Suzanne if your reading keep it up.

Summary: This Book's Plot is as Thin as the Paper it's Printed On
Review: This was my first Suzanne Forster book, and I won't be reading another one. The plot is impossible to believe, the "hero" of the book is a sadist who constantly puts the woman he "loves" in jeopardy by handing her over to his enemies and giving her mind-altering drugs. And, the outdated representation of Catholicism is borderline offensive. There were some stabs at character development but they were lost amongst the befuddled "mystery" plot.
