Rating: Summary: Stanislaski Brothers Review: I found this book to be disappointing, and I think Harlequin should stop reprinting some of these older books, because they make the authors look bad. This book was very repetitive, not in the least original, and not worthy of Nora Roberts
Rating: Summary: Not that impressive, just average Review: I read The Stanislaski Brothers in two days. Once I get into reading a book, I have a hard time putting it down. I kept waiting for something to move me in these two novels, but it didn't. This is a reprint, so I'm wondering if maybe the first edition didn't do too well. I think maybe I'm just disillusioned with Nora Roberts now. I recently read where she has written 135 novels under the names of Nora Roberts and J.D. Robb. To write 135 novels in the span of approximately 20 years is really something. I've read some excellent books with her name on them, but this isn't an excellent read. I gave it a three, because I'm a romantic and the book does have romance.
Rating: Summary: It was so good you wish you met them in person Review: I really enjoy the stories about this family. I liked Mikhail's story better than Alex. You can sympathize with Sydney but I don't understand why Alex had to grovel for Bess while she was also at fault. She could have explained but she didn't and Alex ended up apologizing. If she loved him so much, why did she let him go just like that? Well, I wouldn't. Anyway, other characters were so enjoyable and made you want to keep on reading about this family.
Rating: Summary: ANOTHER FUN READ FROM NORA! Review: I'm glad to see Ms. Robert's older books being re-released. The "Stanislasky" series is a good example of well written, fun, romance genre at its very best. As in all her books, the characters are well drawn, the story lines credible and interesting, and her dialogue fun and often surprising. How she manages to make her "formula" work over and over again is her genious. For exhausted women everywhere who want a little harmless excitment in their lives, we tip our mascara wands in salute to Nora Roberts.
Rating: Summary: A two in one good book. Review: I've always liked the Stanislaski family, but I have to admit, I really like Alexi best. He's very cool. I already had the Stanislaski Sisters, so I figured I should get the Brothers too, just to even out the deal. It's a good read if you like romances.

Rating: Summary: The Stanislaski Sisters Review: Let me tell you first that I am great fan of Nora Roberts and really enjoy her books very much.- Of course I have my favourites but I usually do like them all.- After the Maine trilogy - after my own heart - I spotted at the bookshop the Calhoun Women which was a big dissapontment.- I like to think that, as also happened in the case of Rosamund Pilcher books, her first ones are not so good as the last ones, authors mature and grow, and after she made it to the top of the list with the Shell Seekers and September all her previous books were re-printed and the standard fell very short.- Coming back to the Stanislaski Sisters, it was with some trepidation (after the Calhoun fiasco) that I picked it up at the bookstore, acting mainly on the principle that in Uruguay, when you see them, you bag them. Let me tell you that I struck luck.- I liked the book very much - both of them... even though I enjoyed more Rachel than Natascha, who was a bit too much temper-tantrum prone.- Kimball was a really nice guy - Freddie was a bit too childish for a six years old but a good key character all in all and I am waiting to see how will she be portrayed in Waiting for Nick.- Zak Muldoon was OK and I found Nick's attitude a little too much and then wham! a really big personality change.. but all in all a good read.-I am now trying to get the Stanislasky Bothers which goes to show I enjoyed myself.-
Rating: Summary: Very enjoyable Review: Luring a Lady - Alternately brooding, passionate, fierce, gentle, artistic, and down-to-earth, not to mention possessing of unprecedented good looks, Mikhail Stanislaski may be the archetypal romance novel hero, but since it works so well in this book, who's complaining? The "opposites attract" theme is at work in this novel which finds Mikhail, the second of the Stanislaski brood, falling hard for an uptown heiress who has only recently decided to work for a living as a result of her grandfather's death and the passing of his business to her hands. This seeming ice princess (Sydney Hayward) thaws considerably upon meeting Mikhail, and learns about love in a way she'd never imagined growing up in her cold, formal home. This book is a serious page-turner and a wonderful read!Convincing Alex - The 4th in the Stanislaski series, this story gets into the head and the heart of tough cop Alexi Stanislaski. In the course of a murder investigation, he stumbles across the seemingly flighty Bess McNee, a soap opera writer out doing "research" for her characters. She's in the business of love and romance, and seems to have fallen in and out of love as often as some of the characters she writes. Thus when she falls head over heels for Alex, she has a tough time convincing him that this time it's for real. This is an excellent story and a fitting ending to wrap up the quartet of sibling stories.
Rating: Summary: Love those Stanislaski men! Review: Luring a Lady The day Sydney Hayward took over her family company was a day of remembrance, especially for her, because that was the day Mikhail Stanislaski barged in and told her to fix the building that he's been asking her to fix for months. Little did she know, her assistant had been supposed to do it, and didn't. So she gets back in his face and tells him she'll be over later that day. When she does get there, she tells him to make a list telling her what needs to be fixed. She gets really involved in this building, and also involved with Mikhail. She just has to overcome the fear she has every time he shows emotion, because Mikhail's emotions are all of him. Convincing Alex When Alexi Stansislaski mistakenly arrests Bess McNee for soliciting, she makes a deal with him. She'll forget the charges if he'll take her with him for a whole day so she could research cops for her script she has to write for the local soap opera. Not too hard. But after spending time with him, and his family, Bess knows she'll never find another man like Alexi. Now all she has to do is convince Alexi that she loves him for who he is. Shouldn't be too hard to convince Alexi. These men are the definition of sexuality. Dark, wild hair and whiskey-colored eyes, broad shoulders, and a love of family make them the perfect guys, especially to the women who love them.
