Rating: Summary: One of the best historical romances of the decade Review: LADY GALLANT is such a surprise--so original, so tautly written, with such incredibly drawn characters. Christian and Nora are like no other hero and heroine I've encountered in fiction. They are so masterfully written that I could believe they were real people. So despite their flaws (and Christian's are many) I came to love them very much. LADY GALLANT is also a stunning glimpse into a faraway time, that of the English Renaissance. It is by far Suzanne Robinson's masterpiece--and though her other books don't always measure up--I read this book at least once a year, and still cheer Nora when she transforms from mouse to dragon. A magnificent romance novel.
Rating: Summary: Entrancing dialogue. Review: Lady Gallant was my first Suzanne Robinson and I am very hopeful that her others are written in the same vein. I was absolutely dazzled by the dialogue in this book. Kit is one of those ambiguous type heroes who is charming and nasty and dangerous and ultimately humbled by his own arrogance. Nora holds her own. If you are getting bored with the same old-same old, you might really enjoy Lady Gallant. It is THAT different, my little comfit.
Rating: Summary: Entrancing dialogue. Review: Normally I do not read Tudor era romanes; I tend to stay away from the medieval and stick to Regencies and such. But this is a special case, and there are not enough adjectives enough in the world to describe Lady Gallant. I hold this book for an example to show what all romances should be. To start off, Kit and Nora are simply marvelous. The back blurb will have you believe that she is mousy and shy, and even the first few pages will lead you to that assumption. But she isn't--- Nora is a wonderful, brave character with depths; she's a heroine who is believable for her time period, a heroine whom you can admire and love. And Kit... he's delicious. Rather than being an brooding, cynical, and/or tortured alpha male, Kit is a sybarite, a 16-century James Dean. The language and the usage of everyday songs and snippets of poetry add to Ms. Stuart's wonderfully structured prose without being superfluous, and the historical background is so well researched that Lady Gallant will forever remain among my favorites.

Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK IS WITHIN MY FIVE ALL TIME FAVOURITES!!! Review: THIS WOULD HAVE TO BE MS ROBINSONS BEST BOOK ALTHOUGH I HAVE ENJOYED MOST OF HER OTHERS THIS ONE IS SPECIAL. THE DEPTH OF CHARACTER AND THE DESCRIPTION OF THE ERA ARE WHAT TRULY HOLDS THE READER AND DRAWES THEM INTO THE ELIZABETHAN WORLD. IF YOU CAN MANAGE TO GET A COPY OF THIS BOOK GRAB IT!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!-AND JUST FOR ANYONE INTERESTED "LADY DEFIANT" IS QUITE A GOOD FOLLOW ON OF THE SECENDARY CHARACTERS.
