Rating: Summary: Great love lines/scenes, too much misunderstanding! Review: Enjoyed Charming the Prince a lot... This story had a lot of potential, too. The story move through so many different locations/scenes at times it was hard to follow and seemed fragmented. Sabastian had some of the most erotic/exciting lines in this book. The hero and heroine were a little hard for me to get to love since he was such a horrible criminal most of the book and she was so up tight about so many things. I hate the parts that Sabastian insists on marrying Prudence's aunt even though they know they belong with each other (sort of). The love tension between the two were well depicted, but I agreed with the last reviewer that there were too many lies. Each of them were trying to do what they thought were best for the other by lying, druging, or something else. Can we have a little honesty? Anyway, some of the love scenes were incredible and I could feel the torment between the two. I would still read her books.

Rating: Summary: First Romance Novel Ever Read Review: Heather and Velvet was the first romance novel I ever read and it opened up a whole new world of reading to me. I have read every book Teresa Mederios has written. She is the best writer I've ever read and believe me, I've read a lot since Heather and Velvet. This book was dramatic, funny, had a lot of history entwined in it's plot. I highly recommend this book to everyone. I enjoyed this book so much that I was able to finish reading it in 6 hours. I couldn't put it down. I had to know what was going to happen next.

Rating: Summary: Light-hearted entertainment Review: Heather and Velvet was the first, and best, Teresa Medeiros novel I have read. I have since read several of her other enchanting novels, but this still remains my favorite. I love all the characters immensely, and I feel a lot in common with Prudence. Plus, this story makes me laugh. Not many romance novels have that quality about them. If I could only take one novel with me to a deserted island, this would be the one. I think I have read it at least ten times and it hasn't gotten old yet. This is a must read for any romance novel enthusiast.

Rating: Summary: This book is everything a romamce novel sould be. Review: I have owned this book since it first hit the shelves. Since then, I have read it more times than I can count. Mrs. Medeiros has written a story that will stick in my mind for years and years to come. She brought those characters to life! Sebastian and Prudence are so real you can almost believe that they are alive, living somewhere, hoplessly in love. And isn't that what a romance novel is all about? To bring love into this world?
Rating: Summary: Why is it always betrayal? Review: I liked this book. The author makes the characters come alive with her discriptions and dialouge. It's a very good book, the story is interesting and well plotted. However, it seems that in all of Medeiros books, someone thinks that the someone else betrayed them! This works for a while, but after that it gets to be very repetitive! I loved the characters, Jamie made me laugh out loud! If you buy this book I don't think you will be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: A love-hate relationship Review: I never really liked the hero much -- that's a very bad thing in any romance. Sebastian did have his good moments, but he was too often a jerk and rarely noble or honorable enough. Prudence was more likeable, but she didn't capture my heart as Medeiros' characters usually do. Secondary character Jamie is a hoot, though.I'm having trouble determining exactly what is lacking in this novel; perhaps it is that Medeiros is one of my favorites and this book isn't up to her usual excellence. Granted, it is an early work, and most writers improve over time, so I perhaps I am being too harsh. If it were another author, I might be more generous, but this is nowhere near Medeiros' best. Approach it as an early, less-than-stellar Medeiros work, and you'll probably enjoy it. Expect something like her more recent books, and you'll be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: A Keeper from the first word. Review: I read continuously so I find it impossible to keep all the books I "like." But from the first chapter Medeiros captures your attention and your heart. I feel in love with Prudence and Sebastain. I have since read all her books to date, but this one holds a special place on my bookshelf.
