Summary: The Scots and the English meet on the battlefield of love
Review: Kidnapped and held for ransom, an old tried and true story line for a historical romance. However, Ms Howell fills it in with such wonderful characters and dialog that the book is very fresh and takes on a life of its own. Storm is a vibrant lively self-assured young woman who is willing to stand up for what she believes in and for her friends and family. The Laird's oldest son Travis who desires her but does not understand his growing feelings for her until she leaves him takes her heart as well as her body. Situations intervene and the pair is separate for many months, both longing for each other but sure they cannot be together. However, love and passion triumph in the end and the lovers are reunited. An excellent story, FRESH, and spell binding and, "Vera" worth reading.

Summary: This book was terrible.
Review: This book is an absolutely excelent read! I have never read Hannah Howell, but, after this, I will definitely be reading more and more of her books. I loved Tavis and Storm!! What a sexy couple! Tavis was so wonderful and I loved the wya that the whole family was so good to Storm. The only part of the book that I didnt like is the part with Storm and Sholto in the stable. Other than that little page and a half the book is absolutely wonderful!! A keeper to go on my favorites pile!!!!

Summary: This book was terrible.
Review: This book was terrible. It was trashy and it makes Storm out to be a sex-crazed woman. Don't waste your money on a book with no substance to it other than sex.

Summary: Buyer Alert!
Review: When I first saw this title coming up I immediately added it to my Wish List as I adore Hannah Howell's books, especially her newer ones. There was no review or indication of what the book was about (and I almost ordered it without one) but decided to look around at other sites to see what I could find out about it. Good thing I did, as if the review I read it correct, this book was originally published under the title of "Amber Flame" and I OWN IT. If you don't and have never read it but also enjoy Ms. Howell's books, you may want to purchase it. It is the story of Storm Eldon and Tavish Maclogan and you can check out the reviews written for "Amber Flame" at this site.

Summary: From the publisher
Review: When Storm Eldon is kidnapped by her family's ancestral enemies, she knows there are rules to be honored by both sides. If her stepmother agrees to the ransom demanded, Storm will not be harmed by Tavis MacLagan, the handsome Highland warrior who holds her captive. But as days of waiting turn into weeks, it begins to be clear that in this contest of wills, no one is fighting fair. Tavis's hands-off policy has changed into an all-out siege of the senses, and Storm realizes she is less interested in guarding her virtue than becoming...HIS BONNIE BRIDE. (Originally published under the title Amber Flame.)
